Renaissance was the first Bey album that had me completely hooked. Cowboy Carter's songs randomly pop into my head, and once I start playing a track, I feel like I have to play the whole album (with a few skips, of course). I think you’ll come around to it cousin Rodney 😊

I love Cowboy Carter but it showed a different side of her vocally that I've never heard from her before. It's her best album ever to me. ii hands ii heaven is my jam still, and so is Just For Fun. Renaissance wasn't it for me, but I respect what her intent was with it and Blaqueer history. JT's mixtape...her pictures are pretty. Her voice is too nasally and lazy to me. Meg's album is fun southern/Texas Black nerdy girl vibes. Not all the songs hit for me, but as a body of work (like Renaissance) It is its own lane of music.

Renaissance is a perfect album, it will be hard to top. But Cowboy Carter is really good too! I’ll take it over Lemonade any day. You don't have to take out a newspaper ad to change your name in CA. I changed mine years ago by just going to a Los Angeles California court and filing with a clerk. Same! I hated the Renaissance album and I’m not crazy about Cowboy Carter mainly because I’ve never been into country music. But to be honest, I find myself listening to and enjoying Cowboy Carter more and more as the songs pop up in my shuffle. When Renaissance songs come on I skip the tracks lol.

Renaissance will always be that girl. It was basically tailor made for our community so my love for it can probably be never be matched again by another Beyonce album. That being said, I love Cowboy Carter too but just not nearly as much as Renaissance 🤣 But Cowboy Carter is so well thought out and I just love how she challenges what genres really do mean. I think it’ll def click with you at some point Rodney. I definitely think this album will finally win her Album or the Year at the Grammys.

I honestly think it's experimental. I like Cowboy Carter but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. I think it's not as popular as Renaissance because Renaissance you could literally play it at the club straight through. Party tracks often get more play in general. Although, I will say, The Gift actually has some great songs. It really is worth a listen.
For Angelina, do we know the specifics of brad's alleged abuse? What we do know is that Angelina was a wild child who transitioned into a wild adult who gave her children freedoms not normally given to children. Who's to say that brad's "abuse" wasn't actually normal rules, boundaries, and discipline? I.e. no smoking or drinking, curfews, doing chores, etc? For Angelina, who grew up without rules or discipline, these things could be seen as outrageous. Angelina could have been like, "what do you mean the kids can't smoke and drink. They 10 and 13?! I've been drinking, smoking and popping pills since i was 5!" Lastly, it's not Brad's looks that has ppl questioning the validity of the abuse claims, it's more, similarly to will smith, brad has been in the public for longer than I have been alive. To my knowledge, we have never heard any stories or seen brad being abusive. Jennifer didn't even have these stories. She would still be with brad, had brad not left for Angelina. I'm not saying that brad is a saint, but him being this horrible abusive monster doesn't make sense, based on what we know about him. And the abuse claims are coming from ppl who may not know what real abuse is.
