Absolutely crushed it. Akira Jimbo is a monster and you completely nailed it. This looks like a really hard but fun piece to play. I hope to be on your level some day so I can play this like you.
Thank you! I discovered Casiopea last summer and got to work. Listening to Jimbo's drumming rekindled my feeling to play at a time when I wasn't as much. Their music in the heat of the summer and sunshine was perfect and inspiring - his parts make so much sense to me and I found some songs that really compliment my style. Appreciate it!
@@jtmansoor5794 Im so glad that you finally discovered them! Their music isnt the easiest to find, but theres a website thats made them much more obtainable lately. Im sure you know, but Casiopea has had 3 other drummers, who all had a different approach to playing, check them out too!
Lol. Face reactions kinda like Matt Garska's when feeling it. Came across this channel because my lil' bro played a cover of your food wars. Checked out your 12 most recent videos, another cover of Nujabes and this by Casiopea. Most of your tracks are unfamiliar to me but my drummer soul is happy discovering, and listening to them. Really impressed with your wide genre. Would you happen to be a music major in drums? Apologies for commenting all this here but I can't seem to find the general commenting section for the channel. Also, as your 100th subscriber, I would like to request you to make a drum accompaniment cover for a really good piano cover of girl in ipanema. Been searching for one for a few years now, and have not been able to find one publicly available that satisfies me.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏 I really appreciate your comment, this is what I do it for. With 100 subscribers I can finally create a custom channel URL which will help me so much. I'm proud to have it be as meaningful as this and engage with viewers, and to have done it organically. As my 100th sub I'll name my firstborn after you. I'm a professionally trained drummer and instructor. I didn't study percussion at university. I'll take a request too. There's a lot of versions of Girl From Ipanema so I just need to know what to reference!
@@jtmansoor5794 I imagine! But nice work you did here. I began drumming about a month ago, and this here song I practise every time I play. Never could do it properly entirely, I still need to work on transitions, but all of ya guys doing nice covers help me understand what to play.
