I bought these 5 years ago for my 5th wheel and they blow the tripod away! I would recommend this system to anyone that hates the shaking in their camper. I installed them myself in less than 3 hours. Great product!
I installed a set of JT Strongarm on my travel trailer, well worth the money. I can carry the whole family camping and can barely tell the kids are up running around. They work!
One time he says half was 29.5" and to the back he said 29.25" when is should be 29.75" and I would put all the nuts facing down just in case the nuts comes off the blot will stay in hopefully. All the kits I see online don't show the U piece for the front landing gear?
Haha ‘the dealer will do a better job’ ... yeah right. Almost fell off the chair after that comment. Nothing but bad experiences with the dealer. All my work is done by me, and I know the job is done right the first time. Oh, and I don’t have to wait 3 months for a one hour job.
I also have the spare up front. I have not found any video of installs with a spare. Did you use center mount or left side, and right side mount for the swing bolts?
watched the video and thought this won't be bad except for the back went home and was stopped instantly because of the spare tire, no way to mount with relocating spare tire unfortunately.
Great product - horrible instruction set. I write instructions as part of my job. It would have benefited greatly by a 3D diagram with the distances of the mount points to the jacks. I managed to work through it, but made my own decisions on mounts, etc. The video helped a lot.
Lippert manufactures the JT Strong Arms and the 5th wheel frame; you would think they would either pre-drill at least the frame or stamp/mark it during manufacturing. Such a bs video because he's installing on a raw frame where in the real world you can't tell what is in your way without pulling the underbelly off. Then no illustration on how to mount the JT Strong Arms to the rear Ground Control 3.0 jacks.
I find this disturbing how the video has a frame and not a full trailer. This video is misleading in that there is no way for an actual owner to install as laid out in this video. You should make two videos both of installation as "Real world" as possible onto an actual TT and 5th wheel in the field and not in a shop. None of us owners are going to have the luxuries as shown in this video. Actual installation in a storage lot on an actual TT was far more work and far more difficult. Next one I do I'll make a real-world video for those that want to know. As for this video, it is almost worthless as you will find numerous things shown do not match up in the real application of the product. However, all the work is well worth it, as they stabilize the Rig better than anything else I've tried. I just don't like how they made this video eliminating actual circumstances customers will find when doing an install. Also, it should come with 8 stabilizers, not 6, that way there is 2 stabilizers on each scissor jack.
The frame in the video is a fairly standard LCI 5th wheel frame. My install was exactly as the video. The front connects to the belly pan, and the sides to the frame as shown. The only thing not mentioned in the video is I had to move one gas line clamp over slightly so it didn't rub on the side bracket.
@@kentfyfe8200 I also have an LCI frame on my Keystone Cougar and I couldn't find any frame cross members. Only the belly pan so I'm assuming that is the only place to install them as well. . The video put out by Lippert doens't say anything about this.
Totally agree with your comment and I'll add that this video is too rushed. They rushed thorough the installation and didn't explain it step by step. Typical marketing wank!
