@@dfromgarylantasota2439He’s Not Broke He Just Don’t Own None of The No Limit Catalog So Whatever He Made He Kept and File Bankruptcy So They Wouldn’t Take His Money But He Still Probably Paid Back some Money Tho
East Coast doesn’t respect JT influence in the game. You here and see they never mention him. All you will see is Nore interrupting and slide eye JT. He is on the right platform. You really believe Nore would sit still and listen to a non East Coast dude spit game?🙄
@@DLOOT11 naw they know smart the rapper east coast look him up ! Even when game was on drink champs he said wasn't u signed wit jt nahh bruhh they know
Yea the did change up production went down thats what I meant to say and let me add cash money had a fresh sound Manny sounds was different from klc and company
@@big6chief594The only one that stayed from beats by the pound was Carlos Stephens. The sales were still dropping before then with beats by the pound anyway. Fiend album and such dropped in 99 and was produced by beats by the pound. A lot of people were saying No Limit beats/albums were sounding the same and all. Cash money also broke through with a different sound and such. The sound definitely was different when beats by the pound left though. P was also focusing on basketball and neglecting the label, so it’s a number of factors.
Good to know what really happened to P and No Limit. Broke it all the way down to a costly mistake. Can’t be mad at him or shame him. That’s game for real. A lesson not for the industry but life. He did it though and that’s all that matters. Shout out to Master P! That nigga and the whole camp kept me going through when my mom passed in 1998. His music kept me entertained and my mind occupied at that time why making it through high school. I’m pretty sure many more can say the same at the time about what No Limit did for them. I still bump all of it today.
@@baconeggcheesepodcast9390 according to the video, instead of paying for chargebacks, he gave the company up so the debtors can receive their money … then start a new company with the money you save from not paying the chargebacks … it makes sense but P never said it so we don’t know if it’s true are not but he did start the New No limit around 2000 and changed his sound
@ronb3913 all the independent game you hear all these other rap CEOs get credit for he basically pioneered. in other words, he was talking about most the stuff others got up on much later way back when…
For all y’all that say P didn’t give the sales time. P understood that you only have a small window to get as much as you can. Most record companies these days take 20 years to see 400 mill it tooo P one year
They ain’t see that way lol they want hate on P shit sad how this music industry like try discredit Master P because they didn’t eat with him at No Limit mf peak he had the whole music industry in choke hold for about good 3 years strong.
He forgot to tell y’all the part where he was stealing from everybody in the BAY reason he didn’t take it to the next level all that game but was scamming people 😂😂😂😂😂
Master p said "they can have NOLIMIT" cause am starting the NEW NOLIMIT.....Master p got his money back after he out smart UNIVERSAL for a deal worth millions 🤣😂🔥👑💯
@@slimyoung7364 P gone make u think hustling rap snacks the way to go which is good for start up entrepreneur but for a guy on his caliber the owners of Doritos frito lay we never seen they face
Master p got them millions back and checked out the rap game lol y'all must be NBA YoungBoy fans y'all got to be under 25 - ALL THE REAL TRU SOLDIERS AND THUG GIRLS KNOW THAT 💪🏿 p got his so niggas UGHHHHHHHHHHH to that player haters 💣💣
P still smart though. He took JT game plan an took it to a whole new level an made millions. JT felt a way because P never took JT with him an saluted him for the game after P success. An didnt shout JT out as much as JT would like him to but P still did. But he always showed P love he never really talk shit about P. So everything no limit sold from the record store an bought by the record store P still got his 85 percent. That's still aloooootttttt of money. No limit was going gold an platinum almost every album. Even albums that only sold 50k to 80k that's still alot of money for 85 percent on top of all the other albums that came out an the ones that went platinum an gold. So P got all his money up front from the top an whatever is left in the bottom. An the ones that didnt get sold the record stores sent it back to priority now P owe priority for those records. But P probably already got his 200-400 million already after it was all said an done. P spent alot of his money for himself of course an taking care of other artist. That's why some former artist mad at P cause he stopped now we know why. P took care of them got them on they feet with a good start an as grown men they suppose to figure it out on they own after that. P gave them a head start. P owe alot of money that he couldnt pay so priority sold they shit to Capitol an priorty got they money back an left Capitol with they problems lol. P didnt pay them back so they kept all his masters an publishing make sense. Cause P cashed out already he good. Then he started the new no limit with universal started all over an took they money too ask chamillionaire 😂. So technically no limit fell when P dropped that bullshit game face album December 2001. Cause no limit last good run was with priorty early 2001 pretty much after 504 good fellaz an c murder trapped in crime. You better believe P got allllllll them millions trust P may not be rich like he was but he sitting on millions of dollars believe that. Ain't no way he living this lifestyle with just 5 or 6 figures no way. That nigga not broke.
That Bay Area game is exclusive. 23+ years in the North Bay, from N.C. but raised in Ohio and Cali. I salute JT, he took his game to ATL. So did Short Dog, E 40. You have to be international with the game.
JT this Davey D They gave MASTER P 400k and gave me 200k you right P had the wisdom but it was his catalog that got him paid more. We signed our deal the same day we had the same crooked manager that priority records send to us. I had the cell Block compilation with no catalog and had 30 albums 😂 We flew out on the same day stayed at the same hotel Metreon Hotel in LA I don’t do interviews about music bc that’s my past but I just wanted to correct that and keep doing what you do my brother I’ve always been a fan of your hustle 💯
@@thefreakyrobber0 Percy not broke compared to me but he not up like he should be. Why you think he pushing the cereal thru Snoop. Them lawsuits JT talking about hurt Percy. Wayne & Nelly sold their catalog because they money isn't coming in like it's going out. Y'all forget about TAXES (INCOME,PROPERTY)& INSURANCE (HEALTH,HOME,AUTO) ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN & BABY MOTHERS🤷🏿♂️ E-40, DOLPH, NIPSEY, SLIM THUG, SAUCE WALKA WILL NEVER SELL THEIR CATALOG BECAUSE THEY REALLY OWN THEIR MASTERS💯
Even if P were signing all those acts looking out for self regardless he still looked out for others. P should have a statue with Russell Simmons the others as well
But if P had the game plus the analytic game of today? None of those albums would’ve came back because you can see where your artists are actually popping at:. You won’t take the loss of 1000 cds in Kansas City.. you’ll be able to see the popularity of a certain artist and you can build your business plan from that… P was ahead of his time 💪🏾
Over decades I’ve heard soooo many artists and people related to the Music Industry say they giving the game…… but JT by far just really, really gave the GAME 🎲
Righ, I recall this entire era, I was holding a dude down in the pen and he had me collecting everything NO LIMIT 💯I heard P got the 85% and the record company got the 15% off of a distribution deal, said it'll never be a contract like that...EVER...not sure if it's true or not!!! Shout out to all my peeps truly holding down OUR PEOPLE 💯❤️
I have heard about this nigga from E-40, Too $hort & Master P. I now know why they have so much respect for him. He explains the music business in simplest terms. I really picked from him.
JT said they changed and implemented a return policy. Man business is “Warfare” Master P he got the 85-15 deal but they figured out how to take it from him.
Priority Records had a reserve on returns clause in their P&D deals which stands for (pressing and distribution) how they got P was from the copy rights and masters % he handed over to them
JT been around forever. Would always see his name in magazines promoting something or associated with P with West Coast Bad Boyz. And dude hasn’t aged at all. I figured he had to have been young AF back then.
Buddy just exposed that no limit ain’t even sold all them records them records shipped and they owed money that’s why they couldn’t sell records on universal records people we all have been lied to the power n knowledge !!
It's crazy to hear this because me and my homies use to have these same discussions years ago. Not knowing anything about the music biz and being from down south i use to say all the time Master P never allowed an artist album to reach It's full salses potential before he dropped another album. There were times you would walk into a record store and there would be 3 or 4 albums from No Limit all competing for the same dollar which seemed good for Master P but definitely bad for the artist. To hear that this philosophy and practice was part of the dimise of No Limit doesn't come as a surprise to me.
I’m 46 yrs old, and remember them No limit cds were being sold out of stores it’s first week. How is JT speaking on Master P business like he was part of the tank. Internet people believe anything a person say out their mouth. Have JT ever sold 100,000 records to date?
No, he got a deal with Aftermath behind JT’s back. Then Aftermath asked 50 to put him out. JT being the businessman said ok and put out all the music Game recorded with him at the same time, because G Unit was bubbling.
