As a fellow JToH noob, (I began 2 weeks ago) the amount of times I played Tower of Hell, it was easy. Can’t wait for some of my other non-JToH friends to see this.
Tbh I hope more and more ToH players will get to have a taste of what JToH offers, they really need to stop living in that small bubble and start to grind some actually hard obbies. (well, this only applies to ToH pros who think they're too good at obbies, those who play these for fun should probably stay out since this is gonna be torture)
I got introduced to JTOH through ToH and everything you said is just accurately accurate. I played ToH for fun but when I got into JTOH it was absolutely hell. This was back around right before ToAST replaced ToSU so there weren’t any good towers at all. I remembered how many times I fell at the same freaking part of ToH over and over again. I don’t even know how I pulled through. If the devs really wanted to introduce ToH players to JTOH, they would definitely have to change up the first few rings. Most of the towers there are meant to annoy you to death. Remember that JTOH’s original intent was to not make skilled players but it was to make you rage. Most older towers are like that (ToSD, ToH, ToT) I say the devs should add more modern towers into the earlier rings. They should also add one of those square things on the top of the portal frames of the old towers to indicate that they are classic towers. Most of the old towers just suck and they should add new towers. They shouldn’t revamp old towers tho as they are an important part of the history of jtoh
When I first saw this video and read the comments I heavily agreed with them and had just the same idea of “toh bad jtoh good”. But tbh now when I come back to this video and read the comments I just genuinely think that they are unfunny as hell. Jtoh is of course a fundamentally better game than toh but goddamn all of these comments felt like they were written by losers who just wanna shit on toh at every chance they get. tbf tho, toh is a race obby with 8 mins per round, while jtoh gives you unlimited time to do all the jumps. doesn’t seem too logical for me, though i think jtoh ppl would still have better speed obby skills than those who only play toh.
jtoh towers often have buttons, leading to timing based gameplay at some points, and the raw difficulty of the towers are absolutely absurd compared to ToH ToH would barely even be as hard as the second difficulty in jtoh (medium)

its kind of funny, i get told im trash a lot by other toh players lol, but to me it's no big deal. think about it, toh and jtoh have 2 completely different skill sets, and since ive experienced both JToH and impossible obby type games, im sorta decent at both. no hate to the actually good toh players out there, but sometimes i think beating something at like tier 0.5 doesn't make you better than some of the really good players out there (im not really one of them but hopefully this makes sense)😂

He called our community a community of illegals because he considered jtoh to be an illegal game even though its recovered files from KTOH, which obren had gone rogue on. Toh players have actually more toxic to us than we are to them. There was one instance where a toh player doxxed a jtoh player.
