Ju-jutsu is cool and versatile martial art especially when trained realistically with contact at least on low level. Contact sparring gives you realistic feedback and teaches you to find right distances for techniques. It also hardens physically and mentally for real situation. Shadowboxing and kata without contact sparring doesn't prepare you for possible conflict.
