In my opinion. "Estranged" was the greatest song ever made by Guns n' Roses, but because of its length, it never got any mainstream airplay. This masterpiece had great instrumentation, superb vocal work, and beautiful lyrics, but it was simply not commercially viable because it did not cater to the short attention spans of mainstream radio, which eschews any song that is over 4 minutes long. Juan's epic voice did this little heard song a lot of justice. Great job!
Not sure if your correct. Stairway to heaven got some good airplay in the 70's and people were just finishing the 'acid era' from the 60's. November Rain kills this in my opinion
It's not a little heard song. It has been played live in concerts and there are covers of it. We even played it at parties when we were 14 year old kids. I think that never making it to mainstream media like "I will always love you" and other big ass hits at the time, actually helped. It's a gem that only Guns N'r Roses fans know and appreciate at it's true value.
As a huge Guns N' Roses fan and someone who spent thousands of hours singing along with Axl to their songs, I can honestly appreciate how difficult many of his songs are to sing, and you nailed it my friend. Excellent work. People who sing, even if just casually like myself did, understand how hard this is to do. Well done.
I used to practice in the freezer of a store I worked at when there were no customers inside. It's really about having the solitude needed to sing at the top of your lungs without fearing judgement, otherwise you'll never really see what you can do.
Since I was a kid, I always heard Guns N' Roses, cause I'm fan of that band and I thought: nobody's can't sing like Axl Rose, but you can, your voice is match with the Axl Rose's voice....congratulations......
His voice is like Axl's but not close to the quality, range, and richness of Axl's. So it remains - no one can sing like Axl, his voice is just too unique. Just my opinion.

Lots of people can sing or think they can sing as long as they are singing along with the original recordings and same goes for playing guitar,but when it is just your voice or guitar trying to do those parts alone it ain't so easy anymore,so it is nice hearing a real cover.No,like you said you don't sound just like Axl,but you do sound really good and that ain't so easy,specially with this stuff.......Good stuff,Juan.
Estranged is probably my favorite GNR song and you brought it to life in such a real and unique way. You’ve got real talent my friend. Was truly blown away by your performance. Ah what can I say that hasn't been said before? Love every second of it! This is a song I'd never attempt to cover cause its pretty much written for Axl's voice, but you pulled it off. I think a lot of Juan came through here, I didn't hear that much Axl. And it was great! And lmao at all the comments about your bachelor life and so on, always a freaking comedy in your videos! I feel robbed in a way, that I've only discovered your videos just now. Probably my favorite RU-vid musician.

Maybe not as good as the original, but I don’t think many people realize just how hard it is to sing this song as just one person, especially in one take, even if it was the sixth, seventh, or seventieth single take, it’s still incredibly hard, and you did an amazing job.
It's amazing how you can go from a deep/hoarse voice to soft and mellow between songs. This take sounded so clean, your voice sounded younger. Very well done Juan :)

Juan, you are absolutely phenomenal. Axl had the greatest vocal range of any human ever, and that's actually a recordable fact. Your talent is UnFUCKing believable....
Listening to this I 'm wondering what Vocal Effects you are using through which Program ? EDIT : Thats sounded wrong, What Program do use to Record I should have said, and what effects do you add, reverb etc etc ?
For this song, Adobe Audition. EQ (cut a bit at 2khz, cut below 60hz) Compression 3:1 @ -14db (Audition's Dynamic Compression) Spitfish (Digital Fish Phones De-Esser) IK Multimedia Plate Reverb at 15% wet (wider vocals preset) That is it! Oh and for effect during some parts I completely cut off anything below 500hz to give it that effect you hear @ 2:00

Some folks who cover GNR songs,have the "Axl" look,(bandana,hair,sunglasses,etc.) that helps sell the song and make it believable.You my friend,on the other hand do not have the "Axl" look.You simply make it believable with awesome voice alone. Im very impressed! Keep up the great work.

Oh man that was an awesome and beautiful rendition.. I felt every emotion in every lyrics. It's sad as I keep listening to this for a month now as it encompasses my current life, since the pandemic, we are now still working from home, at the same time my friends have abandon me for both my Christian and political belief. I feel alone, but I seek company from God. A co-worker of my just recently died, and she was a dear friend when I saw her everyday when we were still working in the office. This song makes me feel sad, and realize life can be gone in the blink of an eye. Anyway, back to your beautiful performance, If GnR decides to go in a different direction and decide to get a new lead singer, I think you are perfect for the job.

Looks like you did listen to it :) as for the comedy it's my personality so I figured I'd give you something entertaining while waiting for my voice and you're definitely right there was more of me in here than the usual Axl cover I think as the days pass and I do more projects both on and outside of RU-vid I start realizing what my voice is supposed to sound like and the imitation days are pretty much ending I am more comfortable in my own shoes these days :)
