This song's keyboard lo-fi vibes reminds me of Lee Hi's Only, a ballad worth reacting too as well. It's just that this song perfectly captures the feeling of self-doubt and losing yourself over a lost love, whereas Lee Hi's about falling in love and growing old together. Kind of two sides of the same coin for modern ballads about love
This song has a superb arrangement. It felt like it had begun quietly and deliberately, as though he was simply asking her partner for his worth. As he was describing what he had done for her, his emotions suddenly burst into an eruption. And even though he was giving it his all, he felt that it wasn't enough. Eventually he blows up. His emotions ultimately blow up when he realizes that despite giving everything he had, he was treated like nothing. He went crazy. Because it's insane to believe that even if you give someone your entire self, they won't see your worth.
juan karlos typically sticks to the more acoustic rock and sentimental genre, but he does have songs that aren't always in an intensely emotional mood. I'd say his songs Bless U and Pancit show that. I agree that the album is likely to be in a similar vein. He mentioned in an interview that the album is titled Sad Songs and Bullshit, the bs referring to the love songs. When he performs, he says he's always reliving the same emotions he felt when writing those songs which contributes to the burst emotions displayed every time.
