this only proves that you simply need the right teacher. theres a whole bunch of tutorials that dont work for me and ive ven had a private teacher and he wasnt very good either. but this has really helped me, thank you :)
If you do take recommendations there’s this song called cafe 1930, Most lessons are not good or use sheet music, your tutorials are really helpful and I would love if you could do a tutorial to that song!
Café 1930 is literally for like advanced advanced advanced guitarist. Like you need a lot of experience to get that. Talking from a classical guitar student that actually asked her teacher about it.
Ah, a dsmp fan, a passerine enjoyer :") I'm actually a violinist, and I'm learning the violin part of the duet! Just gotta find a classical guitarist to do the other part lmao
Lyrics for the song ( : Wasting your time You're wasting mine Hate to see you leaving Fate worse than dying Your city gave me asthma That's why I'm fucking leaving Your water gave me cancer The pavement hurt my feelings Shout at the wall Because the walls don't fucking love you Shout at the wall Because the walls don't fucking love you There's a reason London puts barriers on the tube line There's a reason London puts barriers on the rails There's a reason London puts barriers on the tube line There's a reason London puts barriers on the rails There's a reason London puts barriers on the tube line There's a reason They fail
My uncle tossed his electric guitar at me and said “go at it,” so naturally I looked up Wilbur soot music and found this tutorial. This is my first time playing :)
This actually helped a lot. I haven't played my guitar in a long while, and Jubilee Line (although a sad song) is my go-to comfort song, so even though it's the middle of the night and I'm crying, at least I feel a lot better now, and I can play a good majority of this song now!
Amazing tutorial ! But I’m so disappointed in my self since everyone in the comments are saying they can play it and I’m here crying my eyes out not knowing what the flip to do 🙌
It's ok, it's the same for me. I got really frustrated :( My brother had a guitar and now he's gone and his guitar is unused for years. I decided to give it a try. I really want to learn but my fingertips and my whole hand is aching and still it doesn't sound right. I hope i can learn eventually :') Good luck to you too!
Thank you so much, i am 12 and i have been playing guitar for 3yrs… I still dont know how to tune other than the standard tuning. I bought a capo today for wilburs songs especially saline solution but i dont know how to use other tuning ways. This is so helpful, thank you so much🙂❤️ Would love to play saline solution in the future though
I thought this lesson was real hard to understand as a VERY much new beginner, but by watching the video over 10 times this dude actually teaches you a lot.
I love this! I'm really struggling to do it but with more practice, I've noticed that I'm slowly getting to it. :) Can you do Since I Saw Vienna by Wilbur too? I've been trying to find a good video but I'm still a little confused and your video was a great tutorial so I was hoping maybe you can check it out
I’ve been playing this with E tuned to a C(it’s a third lower) and capo on 2nd fret, it saves a good bit of having to stretch my fingers as much, this is still a pretty good tutorial though!
I started learning about an hour ago and I can play the intro. Of course, not quickly, but I can. And I'm proud of myself because I've never tried to play guitar before, it's my first time. Like, yk, i'm a total beginner. So thank you so much, this really helped me :]]
I was looking for a different tutorial but I also love this song, so I did this instead! Mostly because it didn't require a capo haha Thanks, this is really good. I've been working at the intro for an hour.
I haven’t played my guitar in years and mostly forgot how to play it. In an hour I’ve almost learned the intro and I am hoping to know the whole song tomorrow! Thank you for the tutorial!
these comments aren’t joking, i picked up guitar again after almost a year of not playing and its INSANE how quickly this got me back into the rhythm of it ♡
I've not had the motivation to pick up my guitar recently, due to the fact that in the past I've not been able to play certain songs correctly. Recently I got the motivation again, and came across the tutorial, and I'm already doing very good! I'm glad I found your channel. New subscriber btw!
Ayyy, finally no capo and no bars, been playing guitar for about month and a half, i don't use capo and im still learning bars so this is perfect, and you explain it in such great detail!
Been trying to play this for a while, and this has been the most helpful tutorial. I have smaller hands, so it's a bit difficult for me to play a lot of songs but I'm able to with this one :)
I’m slowly working my way through Wilbur songs. So far I’ve got Maybe I Was Boring and Jubilee Line on guitar, and your new boyfriend, I’m in love with an e girl, saline solution, jubilee line, your sister was right and since i saw vienna on ukelele
The chord that has the pointer finger on the 6th string(1st fret), ring finger on 3rd string(2nd fret), and middle finger on 1st string(2nd fret) Sadly, that chord is physically impossible for my small hands to do I've tried so many times It was so easy to follow along to I don't suppose there are any alternative and easier chords that make the same sound? Thanks for the vid anyway
There is no chord like that in this lesson. I believe you are referring to F chord around 2:40. Your middle finger should be on 1st fret. If you can’t get it to work you may have to try thumb over the top to grab 1st fret of low E or play it differently with F root note on the D string like this xx32x1
@@Luthdrix thank you for the tip with the thumb! I have the feeling I'll be using it a lot since using my pointer finger to reach the low E string makes the other notes pretty difficult to play :)
I can't say that I'm a beginner or something like but, I love Wilbur's songs and this is very helpful! I think even a beginner can understand this tutorial. Thanks!
TIMESTAMPS SO U DONT WASTE UR TIMEE!! how its going to sound like in total - 0:17 - 0:33 first part 1:07 - 1:19 second part 1:26 - 1:54 third part 1:55 - 2:07 how it sounds so far 2:11 - 2:26 fourth part 2:30 - 3:16 i think im done idk..i have to stop here cause im playingg guitar myself and im done learning just with these timestamps😥
You helped me a lot, I gave up on the guitar the other day, because I just couldn't get it, until I found your videos :] I'll have this comment as my own personal check mark, until I get the song!
My hands are very small for for the main but I cheat and use my thumb on the low E string! Overall less movement, may limit some people but it works for me :)
I found it a lot easier (having big hands) to use my thumb for the low E string for the fingerpicking portion. Don't know if this'll help anyone but hopefully so! Definitely made it more comfortable for me.
This helped me a bunch, i thought this was gonna be extremely complex but it actually isn't One kind of complaint that i have, I guess, is that you could possibly instead of high E say smth like 6th string, at least to me, someone not very experienced with music, it was confusing Other than that, amazing video!
This is the first time I am playing guitar, and I can play the intro part! Though I do hesitate when switching where my fingers go, I take this as an accomplishment! Edit: I can almost play it all now!
I wanna learn jubilee line on all of the instruments I play at some point, and I can already do ukulele, so this will be useful when my brother gives me all the new top e strings he owes me-
i was wondering if there was any way you could give us the taps so that i can follow those. this has been very helpful but i find it easier to follow tabs
I think you’re talking about the F. Try it like xx32x1 use your ring finger on 3 middle 2 index 1. 3 becomes your root note which is higher but it should still sound good.
