There are tons of people in Christian music. Many sounds and styles. You aren't looking very hard if you think everyone is just like Hillsong. Get out and do some research and enjoy all the artists you can find if you actually want to.

If you want more standard, hymn/church/worship sounding bands: Shane & Shane, Worship Initiative, Maverick City Music, CityAlight, Elevation Worship, Sovereign Grace Music, Audrey Assad all have a wide selection of theologically-sound lyrics but great music and instruments at the same time. These are all artists with a wide variety of sound, and I'd highly recommend (most of) them! If you don't know where to start, I have favorites from each artist/band that I can give you if you're interested ;) I love talking about worship music, there are so many good artists out there that I wish everyone could hear!

I find myself really touched by this song, 'cause I actually feel the same. I was raised as a Christian since I was born, but only a few days ago I had my first encounter with God. I've to say it's a magical experience I'll never regret. I'm still 13 years old, but I can say his love is something I'd never change in any type of way. I still have much to learn as a Christian, but I hope to understand everything he's done for us. I really like this Christian type of music, English isn't my first language so I'm really interested in English Christian songs. This song is one of my favorites so far. I'm Argentinian, so Spanish is my first language, although I feel comfier with English. We are In the last days and we CANNOT be deceived as JESUS said...because the level of deceit is so GREAT it can fool the very elect ....the best of the best.... the song is great ....the lyrics are great.... but it does not signify or represent JESUS ...it can be sung in a romantic setting... even in a setting that is not of GOD ...We have to be mindful that we are as Christians and the BODY of CHRIST are to reach the lost.... how is this song going to minister that it's JESUS and not another human being?? this may seem slight but this is how the devil uses diabolical deceit ....and everyone who applauds it knows CHRIST apparently ....But what about those who do not and are listening to this song ??? they can take it and use it in circumstances that are not of GOD.....When we are reaching out in these last days to share the Gospel you cannot leave out the mighty and most powerful name JESUS . JESUS is not a multiple choice neither is He as assumption. He is THE way THE truth THE life.....to be shouted or sung from the mountain tops. We are in the last days. Do not compromise for anyone. The lyrics really point to Christ and a non-believer will feel this ain't for any human being, I promise you that. Yes it's important we should explicitly mention Jesus, but this song is personal to the author and it is his direct conversation with God. There's so much vulnerability in this song and I can feel the joy of the Lord feel my heart because it's the same thing I want to say to God. That I love Him, but my I love you back feels inadequate. The truth is our love for Christ can't sustain our walk with Him, but His love for us. Jesus asked us to remain in His love. Somehow this was an answered prayer .

This is a somewhat weak argument. I'm not trying to discredit you but you should know that just because someone is mentioning Jesus and God don't mean they're true believers. Using your own words it can fool the very elect by mentioning the name of Jesus and God . All I'm trying to say is you can't say someone is a believer because they mention the name of Jesus and God in their songs or sermons. Test every spirit. Even the spirit mentioning God and Jesus.

I have listened to this song non- stop for the past 4 days in a row. Pretty neat how it shows up right when I am needing to hear it the most. Right when I feel like maybe my Faith is not as strong as I thought it was. That my trust in him was lacking. Then I hear this and I literally pull over on the side of the road- blinkers still on and all ...I raised my hands. I just ... remembered all the times that he has suited up, and showed up for me even though I far from deserved it. David’s worship was so raw and real. Time Has changed and cultured so differently, but the Lord never changes. When David was crying out to the Lord in the caves and the lowest valleys, he obviously didn’t care what anyone had to say because it was his worship and prayer to the father. It’s a huge part of the Bible and for a reason. There is no wrong way to worship and cry out to the father. This song is great and me personally being a Christian for many years and walking many dark roads myself, I can relate.

So, I was raised in a strict pentecostal church. Very traditional and judgemental-oriented. I heard this song for the first time on Spotify and it touched my heart in so many ways. Then I looked it here and saw the video... and while I've come a long way from that church thinking I still had a "this can't be okay" moment. which listen, I cast it away right away, cause I closed my eyes and listened to the song again, and yet again I burst into tears. Which to me, is yet one more proof that God looks at the heart and not "the clothes". I wanted to put this comment here, for all the traditional Christians out there. Break free from what YOU think God likes; it is not your place to decide. Humble yourself. To JUDAH, may God continue to anoint you and work through you. I'm blessed to live in a time where we have good, creative music that glorifies God.

Olá boa noite, sou brasileiro e essa canção chegou até aqui e, queria dizer que, eu estou passando por problemas, os quais não consigo resolver pois não consigo me apaixonar novamente, não consigo me aprofundar, não consigo rasgar as minhas vestes e me entregar ao único Deus, e queria dizer que, essa tem sido "a minha canção" a minha esperança, o meu último suspiro, peço oração por mim, peço que orem pela minha situação 😔, pois preciso voltar para o Pai, o meu verdadeiro Amor que é Deus

Não há profundidade nem altura, nem nada que possa nos separar do amor dEle. Não tenha medo do que está passando mas va em frente lutar contra isso. Tenha fé, tudo vai passar. Deus não nos abandona e mesmo nos vales mais profundos, Ele está lá. Um dia tudo vai passar e você apenas se lembrará dessa luta com um riso no rosto :) igualzinho eu faço. Pois já passei por uma crise de fé uma vez. Um vale profundo mesmo, na qual perdi todos os meus interesses e tudo. Eu poderia dizer que estava entrando em depressão. Mas, o Senhor me resgatou. E hoje em dia me lembro dessa fase sorrindo^^ e aumentou minha fé 1000000% apenas creia. Vou orar por ti :)
