Jewish modesty laws are a lot more common sense than Muslim modesty laws. And to say that Torah has nothing to say about how a Jew (both, men and women) should dress is not accurate. Also, we shouldn’t forget that Talmud also counts, because without Talmud it is impossible to understand the written Torah. What is infinitely more interesting for me is not modesty laws, but the treatment of women. Unlike in Islam and Christianity, there is no commandment for a wife to submit to her husband. All commandments seem to be concerned with restricting the power of the stronger party (husband) to prevent abuse.

31:48 - In the Talmud it says that a girl can be betrothed as young as 3, but that once she legally becomes an adult she can nullify the betrothal. A girl can only get married as a legal adult. She becomes a legal adult 6 months after getting her first period or 6 months after turning 12, whichever happens later. If she never gets her period then she's considered an adult when she turns 20.

30:38 - I remember when studying the Babylonian Talmud in school that we learned that when the Torah says that the king shouldn't have many wives, it is limiting the king to only 18 wives (based on king David). This implies that regular men who are not the king can have any number of wives. The formal prohibition on polygamy was invented in Europe and is a modern thing, only about 1000 years old IIRC.

Just according to the text: you take her home, she shaves her head, does her nails, and mourns her family for 1 month while sitting at the entrance to your house. Then if you still want her, you marry her as your wife. My interpretation is that the Bible is trying to discourage the practice by forcing the soldier to see his captive as a person with feelings. Also, the next issue the Bible discusses right after this is of the rebellious son. The common interpretation of that is that the Bible is warning that if you take female captives as your wives then you'll end up with bad children. The Bible describes gr4p3 as equivalent to murder. The woman is expected to call for help if she's in a populated area. If she doesn't cry for help she's considered complicit. In the case where she's complicit they are both put to death. In the cases where it's ambiguous the man is forced to marry the woman and has no right to divorce her, but she can refuse to marry him. Prostitution is a crime punishable by death. So is adultery. Polygamy is allowed but discouraged. In every case in the Bible where polygamy appears, it's always tied with strife within the family. One thing to note about the Biblical system of justice is that the bar for proving guilt is so high that in order to receive a death penalty you basically need to deliberately choose to receive it.
