Lyrics:
Fast and furious we ride the universe
To carve a road for us that slices every curve in sight
We accelerate,no time to hesitate
This load will detonate whoever would contend its right
Born to lead at breakneck speed with high octane
We're spitting flames freewheel burning
On we catapult, we're thrusting to the hilt
Unearthing every fault, go headlong into any dare
We don't accept defeat, we never will retreat
We blaze with scorching heat obliterations everywhere
Look before you leap has never been the way we keep
Our road is free
Charging to the top
And never give in never stops the way to be
Hold on to the lead with all your will and concede
You'll find there's life with victory on high

Halford started losing his voice a couple times in this video, but he held it together. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to scream your lungs out night after night when they are on tour. Halford's vocals is what set Priest apart from other metal bands of the era. An amazing talent!

I recently had the pleasure of working selling Judas Priest merchandise at their concert in Pamplona Spain. The company I worked with allowed us to go in to see the concert in shifts and, more than with the idea of getting paid, I was going with the idea of fulfilling my dream since I was a child: Being able to have the opportunity to see my always favorite group; from that moment when my father made me listen to Freewheel Burning when I was barely 4 years old. I entered the stadium and it was inevitable not to burst into tears; They were them, those gods that I had dreamed of becoming for almost 20 years, there I was with my hair down, my Defenders of The Faith t-shirt, and a handkerchief in my hand. Singing, jumping and crying like I had never done before. I will be able to die peacefully knowing that I have lived what I thought would be impossible. From always and forever.... LONG LIVE THE GODS OF METAL!!!

As a Priest maniac, I disagree. Check out some 1984 concerts. There were good ones, but also there were many weak performances - because of Rob. When I and they were young, (1980 something) I went to their concert in Philly so excited to see them. The volume was so load that it took me 1/2 a song to figure out what song they were playing. We stayed for about 4 more songs and we gave up. I still love them, but that 1 concert kept me away since then. They are great musicians, why didn't you let me hear them? I am still a fan and listen to them all the time, rock on!

This concert brings together the pure essence of what 80's rock was. It is said that Julio Iglesias knew Rob Halford and nicknamed him Minister of Metal.

He's still unmatched in sustained loud and high vocal pitch. King Diamond came 'close but no cigar'.
