Lyrics:
Hit'em boys!
Well I've said it before, and I'll say it again
You get nothing for nothing: expect it when
You're backseat driving, and your hands ain't on the wheel
It's easy to go along with the crowd,
And find later on that your say ain't allowed
Oh that's the way to find what you've been missing
So I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall!
You can hang in a left or hang in a right
The choice it is yours to do as you might
The road is open wide to place your bidding
Now, wherever you turn, wherever you go
If you get it wrong, at least you can know
There's miles and miles to put it back together!
And I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothing to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall!
On the highway! On the highway!
Making a curve or taking the strain
On the decline, or ut on the wain
Oh everybody breaks down sooner or later
We'll put it to rights, we'll square up and mend.
Back on your feet to take the next bend!
You weather every storm that's coming atcha!
And I'm heading out to the highway
I got nothin' to lose at all
I'm gonna do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
Yes, I'm heading out to the highway,
I got nothing to lose at all.
I got nothing to lose at all!

Saw Priest live during this tour at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island back in 1986. They put on a great show. Turbo was an underrated album. I would argue it was one of their best. They definitely gave the fans their money’s worth when they played live. Judas Priest is one of my favorite heavy metal bands. Good songs and Halford’s voice rules.

Halford’s voice was unreal 😳. I don’t think any band at the time could follow Judas Priest. Even Bruce Dickinson mentioned “When we opened for Judas Priest, I was surprised how big they were, it was a revelation for me; watching Judas Priest was like witnessing a mechanized panzer assault, it was like a machine rolling over you”. That sums it up I guess.

If you weren't there for the 80s, the universe fucked you....it's that simple. I saw these guys in 1984 on their "Defenders of the Faith" tour. 34 years later & still PRICELESS.

On the Priest Live album from this tour you hear some synths during the harmony after the solos and it sounds f’ing rad.

I love this version because KK and Glenn both do a lead in the middle of the song. And then they both do that famous twin-guitar harmony. On Point of Entry, it aint like that. Glenn and KK dont each take a lead; they only just play that harmony part. They added the lead-breaks for the concert. Because we as fans always demanded great leads from our guitar heros in the 80,s. And KK and Glenn knew that. And i know you 90,s generation and Millenials for sure too, will never understand that.

Hard to believe that one of the best metal bands ever, teased their hair and wore all that colorful stuff. But it was "in style". I think AC/DC is the only band that never got into it.

Priest wore these various leather and stud costumes all through their peak in the 80s, usually with a different "look" after each album came out. The Turbo ones were just the most extravagant and excessive of the lot, which considering Turbo was their hair metal album, is appropriate enough.
