Judd Trump makes a maximum against Ronnie O'Sullivan in the 2022 Cazoo Champion of Champions final #ChampOfChamps #JuddTrump #ronnieosullivan #RocketRonnie #JuddTrumpSnooker
It was superb to watch and the whole audience, regardless of who they were rooting for, felt really privileged to be there to witness it. The tension built throughout until we all exploded. An experience I'll never forget. Thanks Judd.
I know, first thing I thought, where's the handshake and congratulations. It's possible he was just being nonchalant and cool headed but still. I mean he's still 6-2 up. Was there any animosity for any reason b4 the match?
Commentator Phil Yates said after the 147 was made, "One thing Ronnie O'Sullivan and Alex Higgins have in common is they don't like to be upstaged." Hahahaha! It was a beautiful frame to watch live. Wow! Judd needed that.
He said that because Ronnie was going for a 147 the very next frame and it would be classic Ronnie to choose to and get one at that point when he's been refusing them for years.
I always.. always look for it and find it just amazing how it happens and so smoothly. Small things like this is what seperates these Pros from rest of the world .
I would have expected Ronnie to be first out of the seat to congratulate Trump which I thought was a bad show that he didn't! He has scored plenty of 147's & he lapped the plaudits afterwards! Not too many have scored a 147 against Ronnie but this isn't about Ronnie. Well done Judd Trump! A super 147.
This game isn't physical. It's mental. And it takes it toll. Just like chess, you have to keep your opponent in check until the end. The reason Ronnie never got out of his chair or even acknowledge Judd's 147 is for the same reason. He wants his opponent to remain shaken and unstable. For all those who don't give it a thought before commenting, Ronnie does have a substantial amount of respect for Judd. That hug in 2022 WC has proven everything. Also check the interview after that match. Congrats Judd :)
Although I admire Ronnie, but this was always the way how to scare his opponents! But really ?! Not to shake hands with Judd ?! Especially after this HUG in WSC ?!
@@Alkabeer_awi I also feel it's another way to keep that person motivated to keep pushing harder for more success. Take for instance a father not congratulating a son for his achievement just so that the son realizes that he has to make his achievements even bigger so that his father can be more pleased. It's another way of saying "That's nothing, you can do even better". I would like to take this thought as another angle. Just another perspective. :)
To play devils advocate here, maybe Ronnie not reacting was a show of respect? If it had been a lesser player he might have reacted, but because it was Judd, he played it cool as if to say " I expect a player of your ability to get a maximum. "
@@stewux 😂😂😂 That is a stretch! Ronnie doesn’t like to be upstaged and often shows lack of respect to his opponents. “If you look at the younger players coming through, they are not that good really. Most of them would do well as half-decent amateurs, not even amateurs. They are so bad.”
@@stewux That is a point I've considered a bit. I could actually see a person (although not Judd) being insulted at being congratulated. Imagine being congratulated for something that you're able to do regularly. Both players have quite a few official 7 (now) and 15) and many unofficial 147 breaks. However I do also see the point that is face value that it's rare by many standards in a ranking event, despite their increasing occurence, and it's convention to congratulate your opponenent (or even stop playing on another table and wait if it's much earlier in the tournament). But what Ronnie said has some good points and who knows. The two obviously respect each other and it looked more like Ronnie was doing a variation of a thousand yard stare, perhaps out of concern (Judd hadn't been playing well before the 147).
@@Billybob64186 Sure he does and when he does he expects acknowledgement of that great feat, but instead he sat in his chair like a toddler deprived of his favourite toy, he is with out doubt the best snooker player I have ever seen but he has proved to many times when he doesn't get all his own way the toys get tossed from the pram.
Well done, Judd. Brilliant stuff. Nice of Ronnie to get out of his chair and congratulate him. He's always the good sportsman showing respect for his opponent after a maximum break. 👏👏👏 Well done, Ronnie.
It's a final, why would Ronnie encourage his opponent even more and give a momentum he does not want him to have? Glad Ronnie did not get out of his chair, shows that it means much to him to beat Trump, taking his business serious
Ronnie caught judd fapping to gay midget porn during their stay at the local hotel for this championship. He wanted to wish judd good luck before the final. He knocked on the door but judd didn't answer. His door was open and ronnie preceded to come in.
Fantastic break from Judd and great match by both especially the way Ronnie O'Sullivan played when Judd got back from 6-1 to 7-6 Ronnie seemed to play great snooker.
Ronnie was just being a cheeky bastard here as he never shook Judds hand, which is what snooker players normally do when a players knocks in a 147 against them. He did clap though - BARELY! But hes not really a bad bloke old Ronnie. He can be a cheeky bastard at times, but he is a good bloke at heart. Well done Judd for knocking in a 147 against a cheeky bastard!
@@jackflash743 True, but Ronnie was psychologically raped by a player called Peter Ebdon a few years ago. I saw the whole match and Ebdon raped Ronnies mind with his slow play. Ronnie turned into an emotional wreck in that match and Ebdon won. Ebdon is a mind rapist. It was brutal and Ronnie was left bleeding after he was raped by Ebdon.
I think it was a point that Ronnie was making. Back in the day snooker players use to get a new car if they got 147 break but now they get £1.400 which is ridiculous. Bring BK the decent prizes. Henry did 147 and got 147k
He has his moments. He's said some things in interviews that I really admire, and then at other times he talks a bunch of rubbish and acts unsportsmanlike. In this case, I think he absolutely should have been up on his feet to congratulate.
I remember watching the Shangai masters final 2011, Higgins made a 147 in the 6th frame while loosing 5-0 to Trump. After that he went on winning the match and tournament at 10-9. Incredible things happen on a snooker table.
It's quite surprising Ronnie doesn't congratulate him or even give a clap of sorts. When Judd finished his break he doesn't look towards osullivan which COULD be why Ronnie never got up to congratulate him but one would still expect some positive reinforcement a clap or something. Doesn't reflect too well on osullivan
As a human being ,Ronnie has always been sort of a twat, bully and mr.ego. has the game to match it up though. Even his daughter from his first wife wants nothing to do with him. As a snooker player though,he truly believes he is the best snooker player ever. Not without reason though.
That first black in the middle was spectacular. It was absolutely crucial to for a 147/run. He left himself long on the yellow and brown but still made those pots under pressure. I watched this several times now. I applaude trump extra since Ronnie was a poor sport about it.
Surprised Ronnie never acknowledged Judds 147, bad sportsmanship, I am a ROS fan but always been aware he's a prick with some of the comments he comes out with.
@@scottirvine121 Nah mate. It all depends on your perspective. I disagree, if you watch the tape , Judd leaves the playing area before Ronnie can get out of his chair. And Ronnie is a great sport. If you are a Ronnie fan, you know thee are 2 Ronnies. Good Ronnie, when he's a gentleman and a good sport, and Bad Ronnie, when he plays like he could care less, and isn't very nice to people.
Ronnie goes from giving the longest recorded hug in sporting history to Judd at the worlds, to not even a congratulalory fist pump for the 147? Bit weird. Considering also the amount of praise Ronnie heaped on Judd after the worlds.
I'll never understand why people critique every single thing ronnie does, its mid game he's still focusing on winning. He doesn't hate judd just coz he didn't give his a fist bump 🤣🤣
I get that but he can still win if he shakes Judd’s hand lol. It’s common knowledge that the etiquette is to shake the hand of the person who made a 147 and in this instance , Ronnie has gone on record to say how he admires Judd ,( at length if you watch Eurosport interview after World final ). So was just weird. If it was Ali Carter I’d understand ..

@@fitzhamilton1080 you dont play lot of snooker i think😁,the tougher the player is the more pressure you feel and not to forget the other things, when you play someone like o'sullivan you want it more and then things go more wrong, i make centuries break to as an amateur but if i play a pro i would be very happy if i make a 50 break
Simply tremendous - not many max's have a black potted in the middle. Selby potted the last black in the middle on the 147th max in the UK champs... Trump potted the first black in the middle here.
you haven’t seen everything happening in this frame or after. but agreed, mr. ronny got some attitude but always been fair and got a mindset most of us can’t cope with
Ronnie O'Sullivan didn't even get out of his seat 🙄 Ronnie does so many good things but his attitude is sometimes very shocking. This was a brilliant 147
@@UsmanKhan-tz4ht 147s are as rare as a no hitter in baseball. He could have shown an appreciation of the achievement with even a gesture. Every other snooker player got a congrats by their opponents after a 147
Given the lovely moment these two shared in the world chanpionship final I'm also surprised at the lack of congratulations and indeed Judd not looking at Ronnie. Also felt ronnie interview at the end was a little disrespectful and big headedl. I know the kind of guy ronnie is and I do love him but he frustrates me at times
A wonderful maximum when Judd was 6-1 down, showed his spirit to force himself back to the game. Not really surprised what Ronnie did here because he was so hunger to win even he didn't admit it, but a bit disappointed he didn't mention anything about Judd's maximum in the presentation. Especially when he actually took good lead, all crowd cheered for that, even from someone always call you're his idol. How emotional Ronnie in WC last season, how cold he here.
Imagine being at a level where you can hit a 147 in a final but still being 6-1 down... Judd is a wizard with the felt but Ronnie really is a whole different SAUCE
Im a ronnie fan but when you see 147's,being made your opponent always shakes your hand to congratulate you but ronnie did not, sorry to me thats not good and i hope he now loses
It is still game on that's why. He needs Trump to feel that he is still hunting him. He doesn't want him to get on a roll. He will congratulate him later. In fact he will heap more praise on him than anyone else. But trust me, even 6-2 up, with their history, Ronnie is feeling the heat.
What seems to be apparent is Ronnie frequently alludes to not giving much of a sh*t about tournaments or winning & when he does win he reaffirms that so it can be construed as ungrateful & even disrespectful to other players. Of course it's great to have characters in snooker but there's no need to be c**t.
The fact that Ronnie didn't get up to shake his hand and congratulate him says a lot absolutely no need to be like that, manners cost nothing 🤬🤬 oh yea by the way congratulations Judd 👏👏👏
