I get what Crane is trying to say, basically even though people associated with the Tuner Shop were involved and Michael Simone was at the Tuner Shop, nothing points to weapons and explosives being kept specifically at the Tuner Shop. And to the PD's point of the Tuner Shop employees not acknowledging Michael Simone, I feel like most civilians wouldn't be able to identify a terrorist by face. It's not like real life where their faces are plastered on the news everywhere.
Yeah I've been watching on and off since the beginning of 3.0 and have only seen and heard about the simones a handful of times and it is always from the more major crim players or people closely associated with big crims
basically saying the sources of the weapons cannot be confirmed or pointed to the shop because it just sounds like they are guessing it could be there because they were there kinda like saying the weapons could of be in a car which they then pulled out or just had the weapons on them and they so happen to be at the shop, either or
Basically, the cops ooc know the tuner shop is involved in many crimes, but IC, they can't formulate that connection (Pred tells Knight to articulate the warrant which he proceeds to botch it) so they tried to brute force their way in. This prompts the judges and senators to tell them "fucking stop it and do your homework first." Edit: Also, Crane later admits he shouldn't have signed the warrant. He admits to being lazy and skimming over it. Whoops. At least, he owns it.
In this case, the search warrant was mostly written for two reasons. A show of force, and sending a message to the Tuner shop to get some sort if response from those involved. The actual content of the raid was irrelevant. On an ooc level, the warrant was written to spread the RP of Simone’s release past just a few trials. Bundy is the one who had the idea and wrote the warrant, but he had stuff to do irl so he had to dip. leaving Pred and Brian together trying to explain what was going on and lets face it. They aren’t the best at explaining stuff.
@@TheMaharion Brian is usually pretty good at articulating things. But you have to have actual criminal reason to raid it. You can't just raid a place because they were arrested there.
@@greendayfan1041 Im not saying it was meta. Im saying they used a very, very vague reasoning of "Simone was affiliated with Tuner Shop" reason to raid ie they tried to brute into it using fuzzy reasoning, and Like i mentioned in my edit: Crane made a mistake of signing off on this. He would have said no since it is too vague.
@@TheMaharion I would like to add that I dont think that there should be any ooc reason for a warrant. Let things develop naturally. Im not saying they were trying to do that, but in general, RP should never have an OOC reason. It more likely to become awkward.
The point they were making is how did they know he was arrested for terrorism. They fired him 10 minutes after being caught. Also, they have showed no signs of firing anyone else for crimes they have committed. Just this one person.
The issue with the PD is they do alot of connecting dots with as little evidence as possible. Are they correct on most occasions yes they are but it’s half assed most of the time and is why they lose a lot of court cases. The PD RP could have been amazing if they got phone records and from there started to investigate not just the tuner shop but key ppl from the tuner shop to build a big case against them but instead they connected dots and wanted the result asap which is for one is boring af and two isn’t a good enough case and a good lawyer would easily win that in court and three now the tuner shop is going to be extra cautious about everything they do so it will make the PDs life much harder to bring the tuner shop down.
This is a really interesting situation because if the warrant was never approved (which it shouldn’t have been) but was, whatever they did find is all fruit of the poisonous tree… really really interesting, can’t wait to see the rest of this play out.
The biggest issue when raiding a business is that they have no evidence of who put what in the stash, so they will not be able to convict anyone for it.
I think cops in the city shouldn't be making raids and big consequential moves based on strong assumptions .. but on hard evidence... this isn't real life. The balance of the city in competitive situations is like fragile glass.
If they believe something is stashed in the tunershop then they should catch him red-handed, running in with whatever they believe is stashed there.. not after sometime, while he is chit chatting in a public place where he usually visits..
Ye I'm pretty sure he has alot on his plate as it is. And he rarely does lazy stuff. And he owned up to it almost right away and was able to redton it and that shows he has some integrity, pretty sure 95% of the PD would just roll with it if they did something lazy like that.
I get it know as to the reason why the TS got raided. Funny thing is that, all they have are assumptions. No major physical evidence or connections that will grant them to raid the business establishment. They can stake the establishment first and maybe gather more evidence to have a raid warrant. All the charges on Eddie should be drop in the first place since the raid is invalid and no major evidence was presented and only assumptions which the PD are good at. The judge who sign the warrant should invalidate it and tell the PD that any illegal possessions that was gather during the raid they should not be charge with. I was hoping for a bench trial or maybe Eddie will file a case or complaint towards the PD police who raided his establishment. . That should have been done like irl cops, justice system.
Lmaooo wait till they find out that Mineo told Eddie about what AP did and that was the Reason they fired him on the spot. I cant wait for a 700k-1mil fine from tuner to PD/State. I hope they sue all they cops 1 by 1 individually. Hope they removed the 50k cap tho cuz that sucks.
"Can you articulate the reason for the warrant?" "So, he was here and then..." proceeds to tell a long and irrelevant story. "Cool story, bro, but can you articulate a reason?" Explains some possible good reasons for it. "But none of this was in the warrant." "Ok, but what is on the warrant is..." proceeds to talk about very loosely connected facts that require you to reach and assume a lot of things. Geez, what is the PD doing?
And these cops just stretch everything nothing they're saying makes sense for a warrant on a business that's a public place for people walking in out of. Just because the guy was there and hours later somewhere else there was a shootout just not linked that building to that shoot out unless you seen them taking guns and RPGs into that building or coming out of that building.
Mehdi is very arrogant and condescending because he thinks he's always the smartest guy in the room and always right. You can tell from the way he words things when talking to people during disagreements that he's always basically like, "You're wrong and I'm still right but okay."
For the first time I will disagree with Crane about the businesses. For a regular employee he is right. But for owners and managing parties it does make sense. i.e. Eddie the TS, Ramee the Gallery, Lang Roosters, etc.
No proof eddie was involved just talking about ap. And I think crane is basically saying that in real life sure but in GTA RP if one person does a crime are you gonna literally just go through every single connection they have in the entire city every single business every single business stash every single friend they have every single everything it just creates a fucking loop of dog shit at some point you have to continue to work for that type of info.
This probably stemmed from the CG raid where Penta just used the keys that Adept had for her business as proof to raid LS. They need to establish a precedent that businesses can't be raided over something like this unless there is proof that those in charge are affiliated with the crime. It's a precedent case.
So why did crane allow Claire to get raided because of Blaine? Blaine doesn’t have keys to casa & Claire wasn’t even in the city when he got arrested. Wrangler raided her shit and the raided warrant was vague as fuck and didnt explain the purpose of it. Wrangler literally stole an angels card, sentimental items and her materials which are legal.
