That’s probably his only way with getting out of trouble is if the house gets demolished… I’m sure there’s evidence still left behind. I really hope the house stays in tact, it’s so important to the victim’s families they deserve justice and to start healing.

Yeah, we do not need trials and evidence, we can just eyeball suspects to determine guilt. Kolberger's appearances in court have shown him to be polite, respectful, and responsive, but you see a psycho killer. I hope you are not in law enforcement.

Or the evidence is weak. If the only forensic evidence you have is a single touch dna sample and you have no victim DNA on the defendant (ie his car, apartment, etc) after a quadruple homicide by knife, well you better hope you can get a unanimous verdict…

Dismissing the GJ would not automatically dismiss the case. They could go back to a preliminary hearing or re-do the GJ. In my opinion, the GJ was best in this case as it goes hand in hand with the gag order. A preliminary hearing would have been bad for him. He would never have gotten a fair trial with a preliminary as a jury has not been seated or sequestered. Once the information got out, people would have already started either seeing him as guilty or innocent w/out waiting for the other evidence at trial. His lawyers have nothing, so they waste court time drafting such motions.

BK wasn't picked up until months later. He was caught throwing bag of trash into the trashcan at the neighbor house of his parents. Don't know what was recovered so I don't speculate.

Seems like there's a lot of not seeing the forest for the trees going on. When you look at all of the known facts together, it's extremely difficult to dismiss the case against Bryan.

There was a ton of pressure to get that case solved. I've always been leery of those cases. Now that the house has been destroyed, it makes me wonder exactly why. I've never heard of evidence being destroyed before the trial was done.

@@darrellepickering8433 - Destroying the house certainly feels like a poor move. No doubt. .... And the defense will definitely latch onto those holes (sights, sounds, etc.). .... But I wouldn't say there's a "why", like it's a conspiracy. The property was owned by someone and they had to move forward with it. It's very unfortunate.

Autopsy reports have already been finished, and they've connected all that stuff that is why he remains locked up. Just because they don't blast it over the news doesn't mean it doesn't exist. They already know from autopsy results the weapon (s) used. If they had no evidence on Bryan, he would have been released months ago. Obviously, the killer put the sheath there if it was under a dead body as dead bodies don't move things. They were stabbed, and they did not stab themselves. DNA was all over the sheath. They never said it wasn't. They told you that it was on the snap because it was easier to lift and test. Obviously, body fluids will seep into the leather of the sheath and degrade much faster, so they used the DNA from the button, but there was fluid on other parts of the knife, I'm sure. His Defense never said there was zero blood evidence in his apt, home, car etc. The case is under a gag order, so they would not be able to tell you that w/out being in contempt of court. What they actually said was the Prosecution had not turned over evidence and that there was no reason why Prosecution hadn't turned over evidence showing a connection with his car, home, apt, etc. Defense just worded it that way to sway a jury pool.

@@Manatee4ScaleWe can be reasonably certain that the only DNA they have is the fleck of transfer DNA or they would be mentioning it. Transfer DNA is too weak to build a case on. The state has to show all it cards to the defense to allow them to prepare a defense. It is not trail by ambush. The defense has said in open court that they cannot connect Kolberger to the victims. If there were more evidence they would not be saying that. The lack of public information about this case has not stopped daily posts speculating about every possible aspect of this case. Again, they have to connect the knife sheath to murder by more than just location. Then they have to explain why a person's knife sheath would have so little of his DNA on it that it require an extra special lab to find it.

When Captain Fry took out belongings from the 1122 residence to "supposedly" return to the families, but on the way, he took a detour and dropped a couple things off to get BK's dna on them, then drop them off at the lab- hence the late evidence from prosecution.

Remaining silent was legal advice given by his lawyers. The DNA was touch DNA in such a small amount that it required a special lab to detect it. How unreasonable is it to ask, if it was his sheath, why his DNA was not all of the sheath, in the stitching and inside it, transferred from his handling the blade. Also, how can we know for certain that the sheath was left that night? It could have been in the room for any amount of time.The sheath cannot be directly tied to the murder weapon and the police cannot positively say the murder weapon was a K Bar knife. Do you know where all your touch DNA is?

@@jonathanisrael9714 That clearer picture will have to explain the why the DNA was so small that it required a special lab to find it and how he could have slashed 4 young healthy resisting victims without leaving a trail out of the building, without leaving blood evidence in his car, and why half the campus knew about the murders, but the police were not called for eight hours. You say his DNA was on part of the weapon, but the clear picture will have to prove that the murder weapon was a K Bar knife, not a similar type of weapon. This case is more about what they do not have: a murder weapon, a trail, blood evidence in his car and an explanation for the behavior of the "survivors." There is enough reasonable doubt to drive a standard white sedan through.

@stanwoody4988 Your theory insinuates there is no murderer since there's no trail of blood. Yet four people were slashed to death. You also insinuate that if the knife wounds were not consistent with a K Bar, then the K Bar sheath left on the murder victims bed would not belong to the killer, which insinuates people only use a sheath for the knife it was originally made for. No offense to you but it will take more faith and more evidence to prove your theory than to simply accept the evidence as presented.

That's a much more exciting story. However, it takes way more effort than what all the evidence actually points to. That's the problem with all these conspiracy theories. They would be way more difficult to pull off compard to what actually happened - which is that Kohberger did it. If you are saying he didn't do it, you are going out of your way to excuse him from A LOT of connections to the murder. People always want to go for the more exciting story.
