Although this officer who killed Mr. Floyd should have been charged with first degree murder, and he should spend the rest of his life in prison, he was not charged with first degree murder and he will not spend the rest of his life in prison. In fact, the coroner lied about the autopsy and said it was a medical incident. However the family got an independent autopsy done and it came back death by asphyxiation and pressure on the neck. Also, people are not understanding that just because any of them are arrested does not mean they will ever spend a day in prison. Have you heard how difficult it is to get a conviction on a cop? Truthfully, Chauvin(very rapidly) began to look sub-human. It was as if he devolved into something less than human, before our very eyes. He looked like a predatory Wildcat, glorifying in his savage breast, over his latest kill. His eyes dared anybody to interfere. The rookie cops looked like they were in shock and too scared/weak to intervene. Thao, looked like he and Chauvin had done this before. This was a like a backyard Safari. George Floyd and Chauvin worked at the same restaurant off and on for 17 years, according to the former owner. This was an opportunistic murder. It wasn't pre-meditated, as in weeks, months of planning. No, Chauvin quickly figured out how to "take" a man whom he had probably been jealous of, felt competitive with, who knows. I don't believe that this happened in a vacuum. When Chauvin realized who they had in their sites, he got high with adrenalin! Then he went in for the kill, while Thao acted as look-out. The rookies looked " out of it" and weakly tried to intervene, but it was too little, too late. Just my opinion. Now, wolves in sheep's clothing are trying to put his(Floyd's)character on trial. Judge Hatchett, I pray you help my family get a voice. We had our family torn apart by Ramsey County DHS in MN for 4yrs. Being black and indigent caused us to be silenced, stripped of rights, due process, interference of filing court docs by court clerks and the Judge. Every party involved conspired including Children's Hospital, all Legal Representation, Judge, County Attornies ect. and it's all documented. We kept fighting and after 4yrs of fraud, denial of rights, physical harm and multiple injuries and hospitalization of my baby nephew time ran out for the Judge. His cycle ended and no one wanted to touch the case. They just gave him back and closed the case after losing a tpr and being forced to stop the process of another. This is a different scenario but it's all abuses of power and being able to intentionally cause harm to someone due to their race or socioeconomic status and get immunity with no accountability. Right now is the time for change, right now is the time to expose and stop all of the injustice that has been and still is allowed to happen to us. It shouldn't take for everyone in the world to be exposed to the injustice through Georges death to see what we endure, but this may be what was needed for everyone to stop turning a blind eye. We need to stop talking and start enforcing change.
