I think she's used the "I don't understand" to get out of a lot of things, and she's confused about why it's not working now. She doesn't want a trial because she knows she's guilty.
I think she's legitimately just very ignorant. She doesn't understand the difference between arraignment and trial. She also had another officer give her a break in another county and didn't realize that other officers weren't going to give her the same courtesy. Her face says it all; she's struggling big time to understand what's going on. She's no sovereign citizen; I highly doubt she'd refuse a lawyer if she knew what was going on. When the judge tells her the attorney would help her attain her blood results, you can see a look of understanding in her face. "Ohhhh..."
It seems certain that the officer who stopped her the first time gave her 30 days to show proof that she already had insurance when she was stopped, in which case the charge would be dismissed. She seems to have interpreted that as permission to continue to drive without insurance as long as she got insurance within 30 days. That is, of course, insane.
She's stupid, yeah, but she's trying to be clever. Anybody else notice she initially said "I have my proof of insurance." & then "How can I get insurance when I'm in here?". She contradicted herself at least once more, I forget exactly what the other one was. She knows what she did & what she's trying to do, she's just REALLY bad at it.
Yea. She seems to think the rest of the driving world (including the judge) doesn't know how insurance works. If she had an active policy on the date of the offense the only time she needs is time enough to get to her phone and open the policy card to show the active policy dates. She acts like she can go out, make money, buy some insurance, and then all will be forgiven. Sorry, that's not how any of this works. If your policy dates don't include the offense date, you are SOL missy.
@@samantham8696how does that make any sense? If you're being charged for a certain date not having insurance and you don't have any then you're guilty. It shouldn't matter if you get it after the fact, the charge date is the charge date. I'm going to look into this because I call B.S.!
@@Emily_CiK Yeah, I don’t know how it works for sure, but as long as you bring in proof of current insurance there is no issue. Perhaps it is judge’s discretion, not sure, but that’s how they deal with it.
Omg This girl absolutely needs an attorney She has no understanding of just about anything it appears. She's very lucky She got a very kind and understanding judge!
@@craigwhite5703 Well that could be true too but I wonder I know some of it she has to be putting on an act but I seriously think she doesn't have the knowledge of how the system works.
I have a feeling that she's been used to being able to talk herself out of things. If she can't convince people that it was an innocent misunderstanding, then she tries to baffle them with vagueness.
I agree 100% Exactly, she thought playing stupid AND innocent, claiming she didn’t do anything she is charged with basically…I also think she totally showed the judge very little respect as well belittling her saying she needs a judge that understands. WELL…she is damn lucky the judge was as easy on her as she was! This chic who thinks she is too old and has a bad back, no time for this…lmao, well she can sit in there a bit longer, when she sees this judge again she won’t go so easy on her..madam judge is no dummy!
She doesn't understand this isn't a trial. She's trying to offer what she thinks is evidence and is getting frustrated because she doesn't understand how the system works. She's saying she's neutral in her own case, LOL! Mess.
Yea, I heard that "I'm neutral too" think, and I'm like... "Well who the hell is on your side if you're neutral? Is your internal monologue like, 'yea judge, eff this B, she has all the jail time comin; but she innocent'"???
This girl was insane, never heard of someone so clueless in my LIFE!!! She was just passing by and that’s how she ended up living there? Thank god she doesn’t have custody of her kids!!! She doesn’t care about her charges either just a mess 🤦🏼♀️
What an exit line. I'm too old for this #$#! She doesn't need an interpreter, but she desperately needs a lawyer to try to line it all out to her understanding.
There’s no language issue, and I don’t think she’s being conscientiously manipulative-she doesn’t seem capable of that. Her thinking is extremely concrete, and she has difficulty answering questions if they aren’t painstakingly explained to her. Generally, if someone is being manipulative, they must first understand the context and reality well enough to use deception in a way that benefits her. None of her behavior was beneficial to her in any way, so I just cannot believe she thinks she’s getting one over on Judge Webster. On the other hand, if she does understand everything and is attempting to be deceptive in a way that benefits her, that’s even worse in my book because it would mean that she is even more mentally impaired than she would be if she simply didn’t understand the circumstances (delusional, too). Either way, she’s barely competent enough to tie her own shoes without royally fucking it up. I’m shocked she was even able to operate her car well enough to get pulled over.
She knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s playing dumb in hopes of getting the charges dropped. I wish body cam footage was provided to show her reaction at the traffic stop. I think she tried to use a language barrier at the stop as an excuse.
Yep- she waited long enough to tell judge that she didn’t need an interpreter . In fact, I don’t think she ever did tell her- she just accidentally answered one of the judges questions before the interpreter spoke
I think she's honestly that dumb. Which is actually worse in my opinion. If she was knowingly behaving that way it'd mean she was at least smart enough to plan a way to manipulate everyone into letting her off. Thank goodness she doesn't have her kids. Yikes. Lol
Officers mistook her stupidity for drugs and/or alcohol, understandably. OMGosh, these absolute idiots walk/drive among us! "I sell burritos sometimes" cracked me up for some reason. LOL
Twenty years in Law Enforcement, in a high illegal immigration state. I can 100% confirm that Spanish speaking immigrants immediately revert to Spanish, even though they speak English, to try and create a barrier, skirt responsibility for their actions. Lo que me inspiró a aprender español. 😊
This judge is soooo much more patient than me..This woman is extremely entitled and hard headed. Eventually she is going to find out the hard way about how life works
Ignorance of the law is not an excuse to break the law. She is claiming she thought she had 30 days to drive with out a license. This woman knew that she needed a license tho.
She didn’t have insurance. The citation is typical, thirty days to pay or show proof of insurance to get a dismissal, pay a tiny dismissal fee. I’d never believe an Officer would tell her to drive without insurance.
@@viralsheddingzombie5324 LOL Right!!! So she doesn't have a job, isn't responsible enough to have her kids, nowhere to live right now. No insurance and most likely under the influence when she was pulled over. Does she not know they have her law breaking on dashcam etc? And she knows those test results are positive.
"I don't want to take it to trial because I'm innocent. I want to plead no contest." If there was ever a case of someone needing to talk to a lawyer, this is it.
Interpreter required my ass ! This woman is using her Latino ethnicity as a means to muddy the waters as to her actual guilt as to whether the arresting officer misconstrued her possible alcohol intoxicated or drug influenced condition. This is becoming a common defense of confusing the issue(s) and their supposed understanding of the various USA traffic laws that is being employed by Spanish speaking immigrants. The employing of broken English and pretending to be confused about the laws that they are charged with violating is a ploy to get sympathy from the Court in hopes of getting a bye or a reduced ruling. This woman has been in our country from the age of 7 which means she has an American education, and therefore the sense of personal confusion and at times, the speaking in broken English are a totally faked acts.
She is intentionally being thick to try and get out of the legal trouble she’s in. It must always work for her cuz she’s trying hard. I say just let her represent herself and give her the max sentence. She’s knows what she’s doing.
Yes she does...then when judge asked her how long she was in Garden City she said "I don't know, like kind of like since I was born but not really, since I was seven"......... they need to just keep her locked up with her foolish behind. Doesn't make sense when she opens her mouth.... smh
She said she needs a judge who understands her. So true. Every defendant needs a judge who understands that when the defendant says, "I'm innocent.", the case is over and everyone goes home.
There's a difference between a judge that understands you and a judge that agrees with you. She wants a new judge that sees things her way. I wonder if this woman understands how things work in the court system. I feel for her because I fear she may have lots of troubles in her life going forward...because she doesn't fully understand the situation. "The man gave me thirty days on a paper to have insurance"...lots of confused communication in statements like that.
This poor girl is in way over her head and has no clue what's going on. She's never going to find "another judge who can understand me" any better than Judge Webster - who's doing an admiral job of trying to help her.
That's an expensive mishap on the jail's part as court interrupters are expensive. They fall under a higher standard of interpretation regarding legal matters. Which in turn makes them higher paid.
This girl has absolutely no idea what she's talking about. She has a gross misunderstanding about her entire case to include her previous traffic stop regarding the ticket for no insurance. Always obtain a lawyer.
She needs another judge to understand her? No she wants a Judge that will let her go. It’s the same with people that get stopped for something, they say you’re not listening to me you’re not listening to me to the cop. What they’re saying is things are not going my way so you’re not listening.
Judge seems to understand 100% of everyone in front of her. The only thing she needs to understand is she committed a violation of the law and deserves whatever punishment is coming her way. She can figure out life its meaning and ponder what the Judge said in jail. No one will care..no one.
I’m sure she’s a very accomplished young woman who sometimes sells burritos. I think she’s wasting her time thinking too much. She should be promoted from burrito sales to head Karen, as a matter of fact, head manager Karen of all Spanish speaking countries everywhere.
Wait a minute! Why would they even ask for a plea without lab results? That’s a little weird to me. The judge skirts around the answer when she asked if the results were back. What a money grab! This system is screwed.
This just popped in my feed today, but that was painfully stupid. She literally thought she could just tell the judge she didn't do anything and the judge would dismiss the case. I think the point where she said she wanted to plead no contest so she could be done with it was when the judge decided she was getting a lawyer despite her wishes.
Why does the lady without insurance think she can go ahead drive after being stopped previously for 30 days to produce that insurance. She should be charged for the first offence as well! What if she kills someone within those 30 days? The dead person’s family would get nothing!
She acts like it is all a joke. Covering her mouth trying to hide it. What a sorry excuse of a person! Lock her up and see how playing stupid works with her cell mates😆
Even the other zoom participants watching on screen are rolling their eyes and shaking their heads. She says she's too old and her back hurts... She not too old for jail, and jail isn't supposed to be comfortable, she just to entitled for jail. 😂
Listen The cop didn’t say u can go get insurance he said u got 30 days to prove u had it at the time of the stop if u don’t already have it then ur screwed
I kind of believe her on the DUI thing. She talks like she has no idea what's going on. If this is how she sounds when she's in front of a judge, it makes a lot of sense that a cop might think she was drunk behind the wheel or something. Homegirl is super aloof and dumb.
Oh dear. It was bad enough watching her say she didn't need another lawyer but saying she needed another judge had me in stitches. I'll admit I've seen this judge be harder but she was nothing but patient and polite in this matter. Not that this chick deserved it.
This little girl needs to stop!!! Sense she's so unaware ,she doesn't need to be driving. First the day he gave her that ticket 30 day from that date she had to have the insurance before this court date. This lady needs to be drug tested.
I can’t believe that people just walk around with their camera on during court. They should be forced to just sit down somewhere like they’re actually in a courtroom.
The “failure to communicate” in this case has nothing to do with language. The major contributing factor here is IQ level. And this judge passes out MY tax money like tic tacs… here’s an interpreter you don’t need (you actually refused) and here’s a lawyer you don’t need (again, she refused). She is guilty of being an idiot and there are consequences for that condition. Stop pissing around with stupid people and for the love of God stop giving them my damn tax money. Let her sell her burrito or taco or whatever she is selling to make her own money.
THis girl drives me nuts. She has to repeat every question so she can scheme an answer. The kind of person that I would just stop trying to Engauge and throw her in jail.
Wow. How have we failed this generation so badly…. How have we allowed a generation to go into the world as adults lacking such critical information about life and the world?!? These kids are so bad off, they don’t have a clue about our society and the way the world works!
That was very painful to watch. The judge explained everything to her from all directions and she still would not understand. I'll be interested to see her next hearing, when the test results come in and to see if she bothered to get insurance. As for her burrito selling business, she was vague about where she sells them, only that she wants a thing to sell them from, but that takes insurance and stuff. Hopefully also health department requirements.
This woman's strategy is to delay the proceedings by denying the allegations and then saying she "doesn't know" the results of her test. But this is not a trial. It's probably a pre-trial hearing where she will be asked to enter a plea.
If she hadn’t been in custody I would have sworn she was under the influence here! I hope she was intentionally playing dumb in the hopes of getting her case dismissed because I’d hate to think this was her A Game.
"I need to get another judge who's going to understand me. This is really interrupting my life. I want to start selling burritos 🌯 (online?) I don't need a trial, i did nothing wrong, its too much trouble, just needs to be dismissed." Single minded? Manipulative? Can't see past her own tunnel vision agenda - Difficult? Eccentric criminal genius? (No). She's definitely unpredictable and entertaining. 😮😊
People who answer questions with questions are usually stalling for time to think of an answer that will either be so evasive it will be ignored or that will fit the situation. I think this defendant is a master manipulator and she knows exactly what's going on. Her English is very good and I would think she was either born in the U.S. or has been here most of her life. She is being disrespectful to people for whom English is not their primary language by pretending to not understand and that started with the first time she was stopped by the police.
She has never taken accountability for anything in her life. Insufferable. "This is interrupting my life right now."....I'm sure the countless innocent lives you put at risk driving under the influence just feel terrible about YOU being inconvenienced. Disgrace . The other zoom attendees are probably THRILLED to get to witness this lol Anytime I've ever gone to court (traffic tickets and such) its all very boring.
She doesn't understand her choices or her rights. She really needs an attorney to take the time to explain her rights to her. She should thank the judge for really looking out for her.
