Romans 2:6-16:
6 He will render to each one according to his works: 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. 11 For God shows no partiality.
God’s Judgment and the Law
12 For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them 16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

Basically if I am correct, people who do not now Jesus Christ will be judged by there deeds and Christians will be judged by there works:Justification by Faith.We all will be judged,Christians and Non-Christian people.God Bless you Dr.Baucham and your family/Church family.

I respect Bro Baucham and marvel at his insight and exposition. However, when I listen to his sermons I leave more confused and doubtful than sure of my faith. His sermons seem to point out more conflicting scriptures; almost like someone trying to disprove the gospel. I don’t know what the purpose in consistently proving we are unworthy of redemption. I know I’m deserving of God’s wrath. This sermon is a prime example of making works alone the measure of one’s salvation. I can’t earn my way into heaven. He pounds works, works, works. I’m not a monk. But I am confused and doubting my own salvation. It’s a terrible feeling.

For the word of God to be conflicting one been there for you must be conflicted yourself I recommend watching the video again and praying for conviction for your confliction

Well think of it this way... no one has ever perished because they doubted their own salvation, but I'm sure a lot of people however have perished who had never doubted their (false) conversions.

1) I’m sorry this is causing confusion and doubt for you, brother. 2) proving we’re unworthy of redemption time and again is supposed to highlight the glory of God in that He saves us anyway. It shows His goodness and mercy. 3) Remember always that Christians do good works not to merit salvation, but *because* we are saved. We work in response to God’s grace, not in search of it. 4) Perhaps brother Baucham is trying to show a certain kind of Christian the importance of living out their salvation through obedience to God. Maybe you aren’t that kind of Christian. 5) If what you need today in your walk with the Lord isn’t a reminder about Godly living, then forget this sermon for a little while and focus on what attribute of sanctification the Lord is working through you right now. 5) The Word will still be there when you are at the place where you need to hear this. 6) if there is any part of you (and I wouldn’t know if there is) that resists this message because the thought of being judged for your actions makes you uncomfortable or interrupts your theology, then perhaps there is something there and you should dig a little deeper. I have no intention to shame you nor dismiss your concerns. I only wish to encourage you and help if I can. May God be with you, my brother. ❤
