Great video as always. Really useful to see these hiking routes, especially the extra stuff like the logging road in etc. Thanks for putting these videos out there
Going to attempt this one very soon, nice to get a view of what I'll be up against... BTW I just did Mount Hal today, no snow on the super steep spot so it wasn't too bad
I went July 2019 and was trying to find video on RU-vid. Great that you posted it so it can give some people an idea how steep it is. Though it never seems as steep on video.
ya that's just it, i couldn't find any videos of it when i went to go. If you look at my tower of babel video, it's a lot steeper than it looks in that video, dang cameras
Thanks so much for the preview! I'm a paraglider pilot that's having a look at this site for launch and not sure if I could haul my gear up that far but looks like an awesome place to try!
@@IdRatherBeHiking You can hike in from a trail called the saddle? iirc, on the way up that road that goes in off from the highway near the summit on the alberni hwy, shorter hike than from Cameron Lake, but longer drive. Have you hiked to Comox Glacier?
Great video and hike! Did you notice if there were any good campsites along the logging road close to the trailhead? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I've done it twice and I believe it took me 2 up 1.5 down or less both times. I'll check my records, as I've always used Garmin Fenix to track my hikes. If I'm off I'll come back here to set the record straight.
