A great fight with a sense of tension with a great QTE. Special thanks to Hannya Tier patrons: MiyuRon, eks2009, The Guts To Never Give Up Follow me on Twitter: / devilleon7
0:46 Many props to Yagami for being the first character in the entire Yakuza series to make sure the bad guy doesn’t still have his gun. Imagine all the deaths Kiryu would’ve avoided if he just did that lmao.
It's kind of sullied by the fact that he pushed him in the same direction he just kicked his gun to right after that. If Hamura wanted the gun, he could have just turned around and grabbed it.
I mean, all Kaito got was a gunshot and probably got roughed up a bit. Tachibana had several of his toes smashed, and got slammed across the head, both with a SLEDGEHAMMER.
This boss fight actually perfectly fits with Awano's theme (With Vengeance), especially at 2:27 where the QTE actually sync with the theme (1:05 on Awano's theme)
I just noticed that Kaito doesn't have a tattoo! I wonder if that was intentional or if someone at RGG forgot to give him one because it seems very strange to me. Of course it has been established that some (or at least one) of the more modern Yakuza may decide against getting a tattoo, but Kaito seems like the more old fashioned Yakuza who honors tradition. So I find it very interesting that he doesn't have one. That sparks the question: If Kaito had a tattoo, what would it be??
Yakuza 6 explains it through Someya. Basically, a lot of areas in Japan prevents people with tattoos from getting services, like bathouses. Someya doesn't have a tattoo because it serves no purpose except to hinder where he can go.
Kinda disappointing that Hamura uses Yahata’s slow ass boxing style Having his own moveset like Higashi, Ozaki, etc would’ve been cool Hamura still has a few badass moves tho
It kind of makes sense to me. Hamura is tough, but he doesn't usually do something that exerts him too much. His henchmen do a lot of the heavy lifting, look at: Boss fight number 4. Hamura chimes in when they beat the shit out of Yagami, but not nearly as much as Ozaki and the others.
@@QuaziPhantom tatoos fell out of fashion in the yakuza because it makes profiling them too easy and some places won't greet you if you have tatoos (kiryu mentions he can't go to any sauna because of his, Hamura's whole alibi in this game is that he was chilling in one), yakuza 6 makes a point about it. Rikiya was prideful so he sports tatoo but for third rate yakuza it's an expensive ink job to do every once in a while when you have not much money and influence. Kido and the hirose family didn't sport tattoos
Well that’s disappointing I always thought the tattoo reveal during boss fights were one of their best and most distinct features. I mean they constantly talked about how they’re tattoos were representations of their goals and inner selfs
@@aleg719 Not to mention that Yagami isn't yakuza and thus of course doesn't have a tattoo to reveal anyway. He did do his "I can shave just by removing my costume" reveal at the start of the game, though.
