Judgment is expected to be handed down on Friday, in the case against a former police sergeant - accused of murdering six of her relatives to cash in on their insurance policies worth over one-point-four million Rand. The High Court - sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court in Johannesburg - is due to rule on the charges against Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu. Let us now go straight to court.

First, I have to say I don't know the language at all, but is it my imagination or did the judge at times become somewhat exasperated at the long-winded interpretation of his own words?

Not sure but the interpretation takes so long too. Why would she want an interpreter really? The English spoken here is normal and easy.

Anything to delay the court process, I think. Maybe she really doesn't understand English very well, but how did she then land a job as a police officer? Shouldn't they at least understand English, even if they don't speak it fluently??
