Judith Barsi's Story 

~ PLEASE READ; ~ I keep getting comments posted (sometimes quite rude) about the issue of the text being shown too fast. I have explained this over and over again in the comments, so I will address this one last time. I am NOT a professional video editor. I am just a normal person who wanted to share Judith's story. I used free video editing apps on my phone, it was my first time doing this! I know now the writing is shown too fast but I can't really do much about it now, so it's getting a bit boring seeing the same criticism over and over again (which I just remove now because it's spamming my comments section). This is RU-vid, not a TV documentary channel.. I do take it on board though, and if I ever make any other videos I WILL make sure the writing stays on screen for longer. I didn't even think this video would receive so much popularity! So please can people stop posting about the writing being too fast because I will only remove those comment. I will disable the commenting section if people keep repeating themselves or leaving unnecessarily rude comments about the video. Again, this is RU-vid and I am not a professional video maker.

Sad that a famous child had no headstone for 16 years, that tell you how the movie industry is all about.

I want to know why none of the people she worked couldnt be bothered to buy that baby a headstone. They had plenty of money it shouldn't have had to come from donations.

I worked with Judith in 1987 and 1988. I was too young to see the side effects that I do now from her that she exihbited. Thank you for making this for her

If I could be granted one wish, it would be to go back in time and rescue her. I wish that more than anything. Seeing footage of that tiny casket is breaking my heart in all places.

I loved The Land Before Time when I was a kid (I still love it), and I only just recently found out about this. I watched the movies in my own language, so I didn't know about Judith. It broke my heart to read that she was abused and killed along with her mother by her father. It's absolutely horrible and devastating. She was only 10. I hope Heaven exists, and that she is there, in peace.

This video is very sad yet very professionally done. Abuse is terrible. Idk but in my mind the father knew he amounted to nothing while witnessing his daughter become successful at such a young age. Jealousy is the most destructive emotion a person can carry. All he had to do was love his daughter but instead, he destroyed the entire family. Heart breaking

I know Jozsef Barsi (he doesn't deserve the word father) had a hard childhood but that's not Judith's fault and he should have been proud of her.

CPS failed this child as they have failed so many. She should have been removed from her mother's care and not returned until she could prove she had her own place and the father was out of the picture.

That shit brakes my heart, as a father you’re supposed to protect your family especially your daughter from any harm. Even if someone looks or breathe the wrong way around your daughter you would have a problem. Damn, excuse my language but this truly pisses me off.

I was born during the 80´s and cleary remember her. That monster was not her father, not even by accident. I hope he´s still rotting in hell. A father is someone that will protect his daughter forever and even gives his own life for her. My wife is pregnant of our first little girl and I cannot think anything but give her all the love of the world. My mind just can´t conceive how nobody menaged to save Judith. RIP, angel.

it has been 29 years since Judith Eva Barsi passed away she was only 10 years old when she passed away it really breaks my heart when someone like Judith passed away 29 years ago since 1988 and I will remember her for what she was like in person it's kinda stupid what her dad did to her and of course her mom was killed also same night that summer of '88

So, I grew up on The Land Before Time movies, and didn't know this is what happened to the original voice actress for Ducky. I didn't find out till a few years ago. Well, I was both sad, and mad. Sad cause she was just an innocent little girl who had a bright future ahead of her, and mad cause of how abusive her dad was. I mean I'm not a father yet, but if there is one thing I can't stand it is those dads who beat up their wives, and children. I mean I feel if I had met him; I would have beat the living snot out of him for what he did. They would have to pry me off of him when I get through with him. Also I tried not to cry cause the voices they chose it was like Ducky was saying goodbye to her.

I saw pictures online where her body was being taken away from the crime scene not by a gurney but by someone holding her in his arms, who looks like a police detective. She was wrapped in a blanket that seemed to have blood stains but it was a black and white picture so it’s hard to tell. In the background you can see another police detective wiping his eyes of tears. Just a tragic story.

My Dad was abusive once, 45 years later, that one instance still greatly disturbs me. I can't imagine how it might be had he done that many times, over years.

She was such a good voice actress at her age, I know she would've been amazing if she had lived.

This is terrible! So heart breaking, ...., cuz ik how she felt! My mother and father were drug addicts and my father abused me mother very bad. He would even do it on front of us kids, my sister(2yrs older then me), brother(4yrs older then me), and I. And when my mother tried to leave he pulled her through the yard by her hair in just a towel, she was in a towel because he hit her in the shower causing her to bleed from her forehead and she told us kids to wait in the car for her and she ran outside. After I turned 11 she decided to stop using and wanted to divorce my dad, we were running from him for 3 years, so she went into a rehab program and is now clean for 4 yrs. yes I am now 15 as of July 1st! Also ps. My father realized his mistake, and is now clean for 2-3 years and I now get to see him whenever plus my brother moved in with him. (There is a lot more to this story but I basically TRIED to sum it up😂) ALSO: I don't want any pity from this, just sharing my story!💓

As of this comment July 23 2017 it's been almost 29 years to that horrible day where this sweet little girl was taken away forever! RIP Judith and Maria Barsi!

My heart goes out to those who loved and respected Judith Barsi and her mother, the ONLY parent who treated her only child the way she deserved to be treated. May your joy and talent for many young children continue to grow in spirit. Your father had no right to do what he has done to you both. We all wish time was turned back and he would've been thrown in jail for the rest of his life and you would still be alive. God was there when you entered the world up until you and your mother were horrifyingly taken out of it. you were never alone. God was always there and He saw everything that happened. God Bless You. I cant believe the public were the ones who paid for their headstones altho an amazing kind worthy thing to do and I'm glad they did as when surely one of the film industry big wigs who made tons of money off of all the shows etc she was in could of easily of paid for it but no as soon as she is not relevant and gone they easily forget about this beautiful tormented soul 😥What a crying shame this had to happen to mother and daughter by the one person that should of been their hero not their murderer 😥

Obviously the mother should have grabbed her daughter and ran out of the house with her and not looked back. This child was so dear/so beautiful. I guess there plays into it a sesquence of events that makes a mother not take charge. Maybe its in their culture. No-one knows except to say this should never have happened. One day with an abusive alcoholic is enough to make you take action. They are impossible to reason with. You'd be better off talking to the wall. Only comfort is that the child was asleep - hopefully so she didn't know what hit her. A bastard father.

I just saw an episode of the paranormal show called "The Haunting of" and it featured T-Boz from TLC, and the ghosts in this episode were of Judith and her dad. That's what brought me to this. Very sad story...

I really think people need to stop blaming Maria for all this. That pathetic excuse for a husband of hers was totally insane. I know exactly what it's like to be too scared to go somewhere because you're scared of what might happen. I think the people to blame are CPS, because Maria did file a case but it was never followed up on because the CPS themselves said they can't do anything about emotional abuse, and it was mostly always emotional abuse, hardly ever physical abuse. I bet they wish they'd done something now. Also, at the end of the day, Maria died trying to save Judith. May the two of them rest in eternal peace.

I grew up in the 1980's when Judith Barsi was popular little girl who was talented enough for anything but she will be sadly be missed by all of us who have the experience to see her in tv and movies and I can't believe she's really gone for 31 years since 1988 she was only 10 years old and she may rest in peace and I have memories of her for years to come

Such a sad story. I think the mother was partially to blame. There were so many ways to get out of the situation. She was obviously afraid, but, anything would have been better than the outcome. Rip, both of you. Who is singing the background music? So sweet and sad.
