Ivanov's knee hit the mat first before head, so it took the impact, even if he lifted it later. Interesting fact - Turoboyev went against Bekauri at 2019 Junior World Championships (where Bekauri became champion).

Best thing about bobonov’s throw is the other uzbek coach at the right celebrating

7:11 That's called a kakezori in sumo. One of the few techniques that appear on the kimarite list despite never being done in a professional match.

Two thoughts regarding this video. - Tselidis said he’s Seoi Nage technique is inspired by the one Sagi Muki use (he beat Igolnikov in Tokyo that way). - U100kg Turoboyev & Kanikovsky are terrible to watch and even slight annoying. Their Judo is based upon Two techniques and Hight advantage that I wish more Judokas will find a way the manage.

Need to make a video on tselidis! What he did in Tashkent was so impressive

This is the first I've seen of heavyweight OTA. Looks impressive, whereas SAITO has not lived up to expectations. I agree that "overthrows" should be rewarded. They could bring back KOKA or even YUKO for an overthrow. My view is that the attacker should be given some reward for it. After all, an overthrow is a result of a technique executed too well!

Very interesting idea to give lesser score to other person for over throw

I think the judoka who got hansoku against Parlati was using a standing waki gatame by trapping Parlati's arm in his gi. Might have been by accident, or maybe sneaky pool... 😬. I believe the Italian's last name is pronounced par-LA'--tee, by the way. Cheers.

On Ivanov's action I think there is not head diving because he first puts his knee on the ground. Also the uchimata on the cuban is monstruous. The same technique as the one on the kirghize man at the begening of the vid but more more spectacular.

1:30 there is no head dive when knee is first on tatami like in case of elbow or shoulder

I miss bobonov's drop seoi. I'm not sure if I'm seeing things but he can throw pretty well on both sides might be ambidextrous.🤔

At 2:30 would that not qualify as touching the legs in the end phase of the throw? Decision 7 is the new rule that allows that, but I still see athletes getting penalized for this sort of thing

Ivanov had the ippon in the final. He used his Elbow. He didn’t grab the pants.

@@JudoHighlights2015 And I thought he was holding the triceps or the side of the gi with his right hand the entire time. Otherwise what pulls uke down if not a grip?
