Judy singing Moon River for The Judy Garland Show, taped November 1, 1963. Words of the song by Johnny Mercer, music by Henry Mancini. Pictures found at thejudyroom.com I liek this version very much and hope you will enjoy it as well!! :)
Judy is in a class entirely by herself. Her interpretation of songs puts her in a class all by herself. She makes you feel every song she sings, she'll make you smile, laugh, or bring a tear to your eyes. As another singer said of Judy not to long ago " She's a feeling person". She makes you feel what she's feeling when she's singing. She is the best ever. Also, when she was younger she could really SWING A SONG. LOVE SWING.
Beautiful rendition. Her voice is in great form. I am so happy that generations will be able to look back at the amazing works of art this woman created.
Judy singing "Moon River" in such a haunting gorgeous way was meant to be...nobody gets inside this classic quite so deeply as Garland who will be my Huckleberry friend forever, love you Judy and RIP. Sublime magical photo montage is exquisite and so full of feeling for Judy that it took my breath away...
