as an educator, that guy hit the nail on the head by making his subject matter fun and engaging. Ramones songs are so accessible that kids can easily digest the music due to its unadulterated nature.
I have to tell you that as I was pogoing to this song in 1977 I really did not envision kindergarten kids singing this song AND POGOING 35 years later. Deedee, wherever you are, great song, bro.
This is GREAT! To see those kids having so much fun, even doing pogo. WOW! This just serves to remind me; "Music is truly the universal language which transcends all cultural, linguistic and political boundaries." Very heartwarming indeed!
@brianr It's in Seoul, but it's a hagwon. Half of those kids had been studying English for five months when we did this, the other half of them a year and a bit.
Esto es d lo mas hermoso q he visto d tributo a los RAMONES gracias a todos x haberme hecho sentir est sentimiento tan bonito aquí dentro d mi corazón gracias a todos niños
That would be off - putting , I guess , but The Ramones got that line from a children's song , "I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a fly" ...."I don't know why she swallowed the fly. Perhaps she'll die.''.
@@Gentlem1 I've been trying to weigh up if whether I can sing this with my grade one students or not. I have a feeling the parents might have something to say about the lyrics. Now I can use this as a means to justify it! THANK YOU!!!
How awesome is this?!?!!!!!! Amazing rendition of Judy Is a Punk! The 5 people who voted with a thumbs down MUST have seen a different video. How can you NOT like this? He's got my vote for Teacher of the Year!
This is the single greatest video I’ve ever seen on the internet. Major props to this teacher! The Ramones are my favorite band and this made me cry tears of joy. The timeless, fun and accessible beauty of Ramones songs, much like the Beatles, will live forever. You can’t sincerely say that about a lot of bands. The Ramones music is a gift. Look at the pure JOY exuding from the faces of these children!! Personally, this has to be one of the most emotionally cathartic videos I’ve ever seen. In these pessimistic and isolating times, this video provides a ray of hope. God gave rock and roll to the world. The Ramones came along and saved rock and roll by perfecting it. If only the bruddas could have lived to see this video. In the simplest way, it illustrates their profound impact on the world and the joy their music will forever bring to people.
"And no I don´t no why"! My daughter and I love this song, and love the band! Thanks, thanks for share. This is a new way to education. Cheers from Brasil to this Professor!
This is the best video in the world. I can not believe how amazing this video really is. This sums up everything on how I feel about The Ramones. Timeless art that is energetic, simple, and fun.
This so cool! these kids know the song and all of them have never seen the Ramones live. Too bad. But look at how many of them are po-go-ing! WOW! Joey and all of The Ramones would be proud, I'm sure! Rock on Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny and Tommy! You,ll always be in the hearts and minds for generations to come. This video proves it.
Little kids cheerfully singing the Ramones with words like "punk" and "die" as they pogo.... This is sadly not in our universe.... 10/10 It's been 10 years and now they must be 15 ish. I wonder how they grew up.
Its really cool that the kids first of all can let the guy with the guitar know when he's not playing the song correctly, second, they know all the words by heart, and third they know how to pogo! Also they are so enthusiastic about greT MUSIC AND JUST ENJOYING life in the moment!
Love this! I started my boys in music lessons then theyvwere little. My oldest son plays guitar and my two younger boys play drums. I started thrm on the RAMONES because it's honestly one of our favorite bands and the power chords and beats were easy fot them to learn. It got thrm playing music really quickly and having fun which has led to a love of music and exploration of many different genres since. I think that teacher is doing a great job. That's like kindergarten teaching expert level. Gabba gabba hey!
I'm the music director at a college station. I just spent all night removing a radiator from an old Blazer in the cold after overheating caused a 20 minute drive last night to turn into a go-two-minutes-and-let-it-cool-for-thirty cluster-eff. And now I can't stop smiling. Thanks. Seriously.
