(No pun intended) but his eyes is immediately caught my eye and I found myself more fascinated by the way he’s writing the words with his eyes than actually saying them with his mouth. I know this video is mad ("or hella old" if you're from cali) but HBO just dropped his doc and the opening scene/clip is him carrying-out an imperturbable and almost sedated freestyle with a camera inches from his face which lets you clearly see how he writes a story with his eyes before he tells it with his words. The perfect word to describe it is hypnotic. And the delivery of the freestyle itself was so serene and full of tranquility. The mellifluousness in his voice left you with a feeling of melancholy mixed with pure amazement and admiration. I just felt jealous and sad I won’t ever get to witness those days and nights. Those moments of halcyon.. Because when he finished that freestyle every single person in that room realized in that moment they lost track of time. They didn’t have a care in the world for anything other than his words. Nothing else mattered in that moment. They couldn’t take their mind to somewhere else if they wanted to because the only thing in the entire universe that was important to them (Aly specifically) was what he was going to say next. They were in a trance. Enchanted. Euphoric. And luckily for them they got to leave the room and go home that night with a piece of him. A piece of who he was. A piece of his soul. From the euphonious of his voice effortlessly delivering soothing hallucinogenic lyrics. And what’s crazy is Juice was the only person in the room who wasn’t in awe over what he had just done. What he accomplished. His reaction to what you can call a perfect freestyle was a predicted look of perplexity. Like Steve Urkle saying “did I do that?” Because doing something that incredible wasn’t new to him. So he didn’t understand or he didn’t get what the fuss was about. Or did he?
