Never seen a wildcat with a spot for a tail gunner 😂 just kidding around but thanks for posting! Cool to see and hear all these vintage airplanes

Mistakes happen...as long as the viewer, YOU, know the right names, don't be so quick to criticize..just enjoy the great video.

That is NOT a Grumman wildcat , that is in fact a Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bomber.

Really! How can they make an error like that?

Wildcat and Dauntless are noticeably different in many aspects.

@@rescue270the three big visual cues are: 1) the landing gear; 2) the perforated dive flaps that only the SBD had; and 3) the provision for a tail gunner. The Wildcat had the fuselage mounted landing gear just aft of the engine; it was a carryover from the F2F and F3F biplane fighters which preceded the Wildcat; in fact, the F4F Wildcat started life as a biplane fighter until it was redesigned as a monoplane aircraft.

I regret the P 40 sounds a bit thin here. P 51 sounds worse. Merlin? Packard copy? Overrated?
