+Katya. K Really Breathe while you're dancing :3 translate nervous energy into your dancing so that you appear calm. don't your hands get stiff or hang down and don't let your upper torso get stiff or locked.

+Katya. K make sure you follow the video instructions carefully. They have specific items that must be included and there is usually a time limit to adhere to. Just do your best and your hours of training will shine through. Best of luck!!

+Lspong Anderson, it's a very competitive program and many people hope to study at Juilliard. Your best way to judge your chances will be to ask your dance instructor. There are so many great dance intensives, you should be able to find one that fits your best style (modern, ballet, etc.) and your ability. Best of luck!

If you do an in person audition you will be taking class, video audition you send in. If auditioning for the university program, you bring a solo and if you make it that far you perform it for the panel.

Juilliard has very small class sizes and is an exceptional program. To get the most out of the rigorous curriculum you have to have a significant amount of ballet training. If you look at their web site and videos you will see the level of training these students display. Yes, it was a GREAT program. I also auditioned for the university and was waitlisted (17 women world wide made it this far).

Yes, and attended the summer intensive in August 2014. It was AMAZING! 22 women and 17 men were accepted for the 2014 program.

Classical ballet - quite a difficult adventure for sure.

Ballet is not boring for people who love ballet! I just hate when people talk negative of something I love and passionate about

The audition tapes are always a little dull, but the actual performances with costumes and lighting etc. are exciting.
