That’s what hooked me in from the start. It’s not generic, like Itadori isn’t like “I WANNA BECOME THE NUMBER #1 JUJU SORCER” or something like that. It kind of has a darker theme than the average Shonen too.

You guys need to calm down lol. Just because it's darker doesn't mean it's not a generic Shounen. In fact, in terms of plot, we have only gotten setup so far. I always look forward to the animation, but until the Junpei arc, the show was slow in my opinion. They never grapple on the events of the Junpei arc either, Itadori just moves on too quickly in my opinion. Furthermore, the tone is extremely mixed. I find that in scenes of tension, the show will just make random jokes, which reduces the effect of said Tension (Like a Shounen would). An example of this would be when Itadori is saved by Gojou after the flower guy appeared. I would reather they had built how threatening the new curse was, rather than cut to a joke. This show is as dark as Bleach, and once it does push the edge of darkness, the situations are resolved too quickly. It never fully grapples with the themes it presents. *Eg. Death, Bullying, and Overcoming guilt.* I understand why it never fully grapples with the themes either. It's because it's a Shounen! You just present "dark things and move on to happy stuff and cool fights. However, JJK's failure to analyze the themes it presents makes it a basic shounen for me. There is nothing wrong with basic either. Vanilla is very basic, but there are always people who enjoy it. *Basic doesnt always equal Bad, even though it has that negative connotation* *I will still enjoy it, because I primarily watch the show for fun and adventure, as I do with all Shounen* Also, Kudos to Mappa :)

First listen I was like it’s good but not as good as the first . This is my 3rd time listening to it and I prefer it to the first one . It’s soo good and I can’t stop listening

I wasn’t feeling it at first, but the animation hooked me in instantly. Then the beat dropped...and my mouth was literally just in the hugest “O”. MAPPA knows how to make action scenes, and they know how to make it work.

And on top of that they have done an amazing job on both!
