I like how Yuji and Nobara combo was Yuji being the physical attacker, while Nobara was the special attacker. Meanwhile in goodwill, Megumi was clearly the special attacker, and Maki, the female partner, being the physical attacker. It was a cool thing I just noticed
tbh, the fact that Megumi can keep up with Maki is crazy. But what's even crazier? Is that Megumi not only fought Toji and lived, but he actually managed to survive blows from a heavenly restricted being. That's something that a key group of figures in the series future will not be able to do.
I hope in season 3 we get more of the juju strolls, unironically they help flesh out the characters and kinda make them feel more “real” instead of people with a handful of qualities that then die
unlikely, but I think there's opportunity to add anime only scenes given that Gege has recently talked about his regrets regarding some aspects of the Culling Games so I wouldn't be surprised if he had them change things around. Given that it's mostly fights, they can probably afford an episode or two. Wishful thinking though.
@@Orion__no considering what Gege has said and how Mappa expanded other scenes like the Mahoraga fight I think s3 will definitely have extra material added in
In Mushoku Tensei, there are chapters called "Turning points". When a Turning Point happens, the status-quo, vibe and genre of the story is completely and utterly changed. Hidden Inventory was the last slice of life part you are getting with Jujutsu Kaisen. The Shibuya incident was a turning point. The death of every disaster curse. The removal of Yuji's two father figures. Sukuna's rampage with Yuji's face. Mahoraga being revealed as the thing that could kill Gojo if he ever gets out. Furthermore, it is now "Geto's" world. From now on, "real" will be conveyed through battle.
Fun fact: Hanami throws buds at both Maki and Megumi but only Megumi is affected because of his higher cursed energy which is cool that Todo figures out in like 2 seconds
Jjk is simply a good action anime with a unique story. The real shine is the interesting characters, gege expressed that really well and got people loving the characters so much more than the story😂
Interesting characters + interesting power system that takes inspiration from other interesting power systems = good anime. The pacing and story can be a bit off, especially closer to the end, but it’s still great nonetheless imho
@@Jjkmanga_123. nah pacing is definitely rough. No reason for the culling games to be as short as it was. Nor did the culling games utilize the full cast of contestants to its fullest potential. This is coming from Gege’s mouth himself lmao. Me not liking the pacing isn’t a diss to the anime
It did seem a bit rushed at the current chapters, and we know Gege wants it to end too, but hopefully he’ll wrap up the manga with a good ending rather than a bad one
turns out the youtube password was password. Next handful of videos will be more reasonably uploaded lol. Then again, I am running low on milk so I might have to make a quick run to the store..
i think gadafi is the one that really got me when I was writing the script. Although gargoyle is a close second because the gargoyle duo in elden ring terrorized me when I first played the game
nah i saw this on my youtube timeline , got so excited , started saying out loud with a very high tone " NOOOOO really? omg im so excited " my brother thought he had little sister there for a second :D
Wow, what a fantastic review of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1! Your analysis was spot-on, diving deep into the intricate plot twists and character dynamics that made the series so captivating. I loved how you articulated the growth of each character, especially Itadori's journey from a reluctant hero to embracing his role in the Jujutsu world. Your insights on the animation quality and soundtrack were on point too, highlighting how they enhanced the overall experience. It's clear you have a deep passion for the series, and it really shines through in your review. Can't wait to see more of your content! Keep up the amazing work, and looking forward to your next video!
I hope they can take their time animating perfect preperation, culling games, and shinjuku showdown and we don't have as many rushed moments like the shibuya incident.
People like you,Manganimist and pinoy make the series sooo much more comprehensive for emotional readers and watchers Took me a while to figure out that emotional types of people that are only fans for surface level shock value actually struggle with the series They need to able to think logically like Gege in order to gain a better understanding of his writing but i also don't blame them if they can't so i kind of get why they end up hating on Gege's writing despite being fans of the series Love wat you doin bro👍 Keep it up👌
Imo JJK didn't make it into my Top 10 Anime and Manga until I read Shibuya and the story beyond. Season 1 was....okay. It was good but I dont think it stuck out too much until the Kyoto School Arc. Great video though!
thank you! I think season 1 is a bit too much like other shonens. I think Hidden Inventory and beyond it's Gege locking in and understanding what his story should be like.
i had this idea in the back of mind that Todo was intended to be Gege's jojo OC but he just dropped it here to mess with the bad guys while striking the most Jojoest monologs.
22:24 Actually, I think that the finger's strength is constant, the reason Jogo lost so badly is that Sukuna is just THAT much better with his mastery of the power system. He's not only outclassed Jogo in strength, but in skill RCT, technique mastery, domain, literally everything. This could have been 7 finger Sukuna and I still think Jogo would have lost pretty badly
It makes a lot of sense Nanami got backstory and framing in that fight with Mahito it makes it much more dramatic but also I think Gege said in an interview somewhat recently Nanami was actually supposed to die but when he got there he just felt like it made sense for Yuji to break through and save him.
I agree with what you said at the end so much, i've rewatced jjk a couple times and i always notice things i didn't on my first watch. I don't think foreshadowing is the right word, but rather, having more information as the series progresses makes you pick up on more things.
21:34 yeah i’ve thought this as well but then you kinda realize gege is not interested in shonen tropes and just wants to write a battle manga centered around buddhist ideologies, thus no training arcs and such. the characters are merely tools for the very specific story gege wants to tell.
@@Orion__no interesting, ya I found the humor a little stale- it paces well and sets you up for what’s to come, in some ways- however I’m not super sure about it
Look... SPIT YO SHIT INDEED BROTHER, THIS IS PEAK!! Now this is is something I can agree with, now... Embrace your inner yapper. Join Broken Ronin and Radman in the World of Yapping. And please continue vids like this and keep spitting.
nah idk the take of "i want more of the characters just Doing Stuff" doesn't make sense for how high the stakes are in shibuya arc and culling games arc
In Shibuya and the Culling Games I can see the 'fell off' arguments a bit, but season 1 is genuinely goated (Same with Hidden Inventory) Edit: I should clarify that I still love Shibuya and TCG, but with nobaras death being kinda mid in Shibuya and a myriad of issues in TCG it just doesnt hit the same as S1
Binding vow is super cool just like hxh nen restrictions but unlike nen restrictions aside from Nanami's decent execution binding vows eventually just feels like plot devices with no downsides
Thanks for this. I only watched S01 once and it was pretty meh (so much so that I only recently started up Zero and S02). I'll give it another shot. Meanwhile S02 and beyond just blew my friggin mind 🤯
You real cause I didn’t gaf about Junpei either, it was supposed to be some big moment that shaped Yuuji’s character but it was mentioned again like twice, shafted for 100+ chapters then popped back up outta nowhere in 265. Honestly, I forgot about Junpei by then 😂
10:25 even in naruto those abilities are seen as locked until he gets more experience. It feels more like a sneak peak to future progressions. Small curses dont get to do much
I personally like gakuganji. It shows the distance between an upper member of society compared to Gojo as well as the conservative mentality without fully making him a villain, including him saying how the strongest like gojo should never lead
Not true at all, doesn't make sense. Tadashi was in a youth correctional facility, which means he’s likely under 18. Rika died when her and yuta were kids, yuta is 16-17 which means rika died around 10 years ago. Tadashi would’ve only been 7 or 8 years old when rika died, assuming he’s older than yuta and rika.
I watched the first season loved it instantly. It constantly kept thinking okay its gonna go how I think these shounen would play but surprised me everytime. It still holds up season 1 but the internet now making everyone believe it was okay or generic. It was great first season and start for a show which for a lot other shounen I really hated e.g hated first season of demon slayer, mha etc.
How does the fact that the seasons had completely different staff negate the opinion that one season can be better than the other? That mini rant didn’t make any sense to me
