I’ve sometimes wondered why you never sing when you play or gotten someone to sing while you play or used backing tracks. I now know it’s because you don’t need to! Your music has zero need for embellishments and it says everything without a need of back up. Fan-flippin-tasting my friend!! The world’s most complete one-man band I’ve ever heard.

Ol Grey Bear I always figured that when God blessed you with the ability to feel music the way he does the kindness to share said ability with the rest of us that you didn’t also get the ability to sing greatly on the same day. None better. They should give him a Grammy just because! 😬 I used to watch Stevie Ray Vaughn and be amazed at what he did and how easy he made it look. I get the same amazement from watching Justin. It is just so dang good and he makes it look so dang easy. It’s not!!

Anyone can play fast, just takes practice. But what CAN'T be taught is *feel*. SRV was the first who genuinely made me FEEL what he was playing. And no slight on other incredibly talented guitarists, but very, very few of them manage to evoke that same feeling. Justin does. The man doesn't just have talent, he has a GIFT.

I closed my eyes and saw a couple of country boys hoppin the ten o'clock train to Memphis. As they walked the cars they stumbled on a sweet game of poker... The air thick with cigar smoke, sweet Bourbon, and a sliver of perfume. The click of the car wheels on the track increased as the game grew more intense and the pot grew. Nothing like a new watch and some diamond earrings to catch a man's eye. Man I get lost in his music! I love it!

I listen to a lot of the old blues, and when I first came across Justin on you tube I couldn't seem to get enough. After listening to several of his vids, I was thinking that if there was a one string instrument he would make it sing well, damn!!! he didn't let me down, it wasn't but a couple of vids later that I came across a vid that he was playing a single string! And did he put a hurt'n on it!!!

Love your guitar playing, I've been playing for almost a year coming soon and I'm a bit of a slow learner, so I've been looking back to your one minute riffs and they're really helping me out with simple finger placement and everything.
