Jules Verne would be jumping for joy!!

Wow, you guys made Jules Verne alive for a few precious moments!!!! CONGRATULATIONS, proving he was well ahead of his time in his day.

The sweet irony of turning a battery-powered drone into a replica of a battery-powered Aeronef designed by the great Jules Verne himself.

The amount of work put into this model is outstanding.

Excellent work! And, a safer smoother ride than a Boeing.

Men….feed the boilers more coal!!!

Looks incredible. Imagine the down force wind just standing on the deck if it was full sized! Normal RC is neat but projects like this take it to the next level. I'm impressed you could even fly the thing without installing some sort of internal auto stabilizer to keep it level.

No flight stabilization? Since this is basically a special quadcopter, it should be able to hover very stable, but if it's full manual control, then it will be extremely hard to control

Love the imagination of the _Albatross_ and the work put into this fabulous model! That you got it aloft is a great accomplishment. Jules Verne would be so proud of you. Respect! 😎🇦🇺 Maybe some gyros as used by drones (IMU-Inertial Measurement Units) would help to stabilise the model in flight?

This is wonderful! I'm wondering which propellers are producing the lift. Just the four outriggers? All the deck propellers are just for effect, I'm thinking. No? I hope he gets the stabilization worked out. I'd love to see this moving along....

Awesome model, looks like some PID tuning would do the trick. But it's difficult to say, sometimes drones act up when the frame is not rigid enough or something vibrates, which could easily be the case with this model.

I think The Nautilus from the Kirk Douglas classic movie 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea would make a good drone, it's aerodynamic.

Verne was a man of his time to be sure. As Sikorsky would learn, smooth thrust is important. Can you imagine being a passenger on a vehicle that oscillates like that? Verne's next invention would have been seat belts. All that rigging would have made it an aerodynamic mess even with the forward thrust prop spinning it seemed to stay in place. A real one might have needed sails! In 20,000 Leagues Verne describes hunting underwater using projectiles that utilized Leyden technology to electrocute their prey. I don't believe in Time Travel (everything in the universe is moving, so there are no static destinations) so I have to give in to the divine or just assume Verne was a genius in his own rite.

It’s a ship, with wheels and some long ass funny looking propellers. And it looks really romantic
