I disagree. Whitney Houston’s voice and hers are the same! Whitney sold a lot of songs. Julia’s audition was a song From Aretha Franklin. She sold a lot of songs. And quite the icon. Because she’s not tall like Taylor Swift and different doesn’t mean she can’t sell songs.

@@janetridgley4556please don’t compare her to Whitney and Aretha! Julia is not a soul singer she’s a trained skilled singer who over projects! This song was pitchy because she was being over zealous or over ambitious! She can sing ballads but more like Celine or Barbara! Just my opinion because I’m a trained singer who just prefers to sing soul and gospel.

@@janetridgley4556 First of all, Whitney is rolling in her grave right now. They don't even come close to having the same tone. Julia doesn't have that quick vibrato that Whitney has. And if you're saying they sound the same because they can do the same runs, that also proves my point. And Your second sentence just proved my point. When these icons got their record deals, like Whitney and Aretha, do you know why they got record deals? Because NOBODY had the voice they did. They didn't sound like ANYONE else. The music industry is not looking for powerhouse vocals anymore because you don't need them to sell records these days. Back in the day, you had to have stellar vocals to get a record deal, these days no. Artistry wins. And if you're trying to sound like another artist, you won't be successful. Ask anyone in the music industry.

Same here. Her audition was striking. Seems like she is not having that impact. This song was pitchy and a bit off key on the high notes.

Yall just don’t see it by the way she looks. She’s got the voice of an old soul. She has a beautiful voice and a beautiful style.

You may have never had a moment you have dreamed of all your life and had less than 2 minutes to prove your talent in front of thousands of people. For many folks with full hearts it can be emotionally overwhelming. Have you ever heard of Compassion and Kindness? Instead of being a negative bully turn off your TV if you don't want to see true emotions.

Respectfully. She's has done exceptional performance since she was elected for the competition. As she was purely inspired everyone to be herself, and only Gene Simmons sealed her: she is not for that stage, she belongs to Madison Square Garden.
