This reminds me of just walking into the Margaret River Tavern in Western Australia, and seeing an incredible bush/folky outfit doing stuff that was captivating, folky but unique. Never did find out who they were but there are unheralded artists like this all around Australia, some trying to get noticed amongst the plague of record company promoted corporate music, and others just couldn't care less just living for the moment. Its a great place to be ... right here.

An Artist that pushes her vocal sound to the edge I really respect her for it. I dont love her staccato vibrato sound but I dont hate it and truly appreciate her performance.

That little thing was something she mights have picked up from ‘throat singers’, they have some pretty unusual vocal tricks.

That vibrato like sound is very similar to an ululation. You would probably also like Holly Humberstone, UK singer.

I am an Aussie and I have never checked out Angus and Julia Stone. After hearing this I definitely will now. I just hope they do plenty of upbeat numbers like this one. Julia's sound reminds me of a cross between Bjork and Tones and I.

would be a great movie sound track. especially for a western.
