This is the Brooke we all knew was there, and we saw glimpses of her pain throughout the show, but that's one issue that I always had with One Tree Hill. Julian was the only one who really saw Brooke and all of her pain. Sometimes Hayley but really just them. Lucas never really saw her. And Everyone was so focused on Peyton and her pain that nobody ever took the time to see that Brooke was in pain too.
I am at a loss for words. I could not agree MORE. Finally, someone else besides me said it! Brooke will always be my favorite. I could always see her pain. I could always see that no matter how much she was hurting, she was always there for everyone else. Brooke definitely had the biggest heart. Julian saw it all too. That's how I know that he was right for her. He deserved her. Lucas never deserved Brooke, because he never really saw her. Thank you for posting this.
I totally agree. Right from the beginning I knew there was a 3 dimensional character hiding beneath and as season one continued, we began to see it. So often did Peyton, Haley (who was better than others), Nathan and Lucas talk about how amazing, kind and generous she was, but so rarely did they really see how much she struggled. Sophia Bush turned Brooke into one of my all time favourite characters (on any show) and Im so glad that, at the end of the day, she got her happy ending.
I really wish we'd got to see more of her family life sooner. I know its difficult adding more characters to the show and thats probably why a lot of the adults were absent/'travelling' in the teen seasons, but I mean the fact that we didn't even get to meet Brooke's dad until the last season is kinda sad.
YES! I totally agree. Julian and Haley were the only ones that saw who brooke really was and this is coming from a breyton stan. i love brooke and peyton's friendship but peyton never really had the interest to look better into brooke's character because she was caring only for her pain. dont get me started on lucas who did the worst job out of everyone to look after brooke and get to really know her. he never gave her the chance to show him her true herself because he never took her seriously and thats FACTS. he constantly blamed her for many things and on his mind she was an insecure little girl that only cared for sex. i am sorry but it was obvious how he felt. i wish nathan and brooke had a deeper friendship because apart from the time of her attack i dont remember nathan caring for brooke deeply which is sad because the only person he cared about all the time was haley and sometimes lucas but other than that he lowkey ignored peyton and brooke especially in the high school seasons. anyways this is another subject. my point is that i am happy that 2 people got to know the real brooke. even though haley came after peyton into brooke's life it turned out that she was the one that brought more positivity into brooke's life and even though julian came after lucas into brooke's life he was the one that made her feel special and treated her nice. btw one example of peyton not being a very good best friend was when brooke was attacked. when peyton returned from her trip with lucas she saw brooke with a black eye and it was pretty obvious that brooke was lying about how her eye got black because she kept changing the reasons but peyton not only didnt understand that something was wrong she even laughed at brooke for supposingly falling from the stares. that was so low of her. i am not saying 1 for lucas because it has more than 10
the best thing about a diary is you can tell all your feelings about your life whether it could be sad or happy or depressing i can feel what Brooke is feeling

One day I was at a restaurant and I live in a small town where everyone knows everyone well one day after watching this I saw a couple fighting and their 3 kids (2 girls 1 boy) were their but they weren't paying attention and the boy (I think he was 2) almost fell out of the chair thing (they were different than normal at the restaurant) well I quickly run over and fix the chair (I worked at the place) the couple thanked me but they didn't even looked at me they both basically just grumbled out a thanks then continued to fight I then asked them what's the point of fighting and I said if you fight don't do it in public and not around your kids we ended up talking a little more they gave me a 25% tip and now I'm a babysitter to their kids :) while they go to a group marriage counciling
