Bro, we will get our country back, god will shove away all muslims from mesudertania/today’s iligal created iraq, syria, and turkey, it’s just a matter of time. Yeah i am assyrian too(!)
@ Anyone who thinks Assyrians are dead and are gone, just stop and smell the ROSES, and for PETE SEEK GO READ & LEARN and OPEN YOUR EYES & MINDS. Long live Assyria and Assyrian PEOPLE. :-) WE ARE ALL OVER AT FOUR CORNERS OF WORLD (from Los Angeles, CA. USA).
The Assyrians are arguably one of the the oldest Continuous living nations in existence that still use their original namesake, which is based on the God of Gods they knew and lived in service of, Ashur ( AH-shur, emphasis in 1st syllable always ). Assyria was the greatest influencer in the Near East in their time, and the place where Assyrian langauge spread from, which influenced Caananite, Eblite, Ugaritic, Aramaic, Amorite, Phoenician...then Hebrew and later Arabic. No contest there. Yet it's mistakenly, and/or ignorantly called "Semitic" by linguists as they base this term on some Asher, son of Shem, who "allegedly" built Assyria, of course a judaic version of the more original and far older stories of creation from Mesopotamia. An alter term with no foundation, invented by ancient hebrew priests that Scholars, Linguists, Academics, along with regular people like to keep regurgitating without concern for it's validity, or truth. A term that holds no water for many reasons. Most obvious one being that Assyrians were named after their God, Ashur, not some son of a mythical jewish character who came thousands of years too late. Thousands of years after the foundation of the oldest Assyrian cities ( Nineveh, Erbil, Ashur, Arrapkha, Kalkhu ). If those Assyrians are older than the judaic Asher, and his father Shem, then how is it possible for them to have spoken a language named after him ( semitic )? Yes I've already looked at the sources and the timelines, including Judaic ones for Shem. The numbers are off by thousands of years. An absolute useless, false term, only created to cause confusion and to take credit away from Ashur by Appropriation, meaning taking away the Assyrian Patriarch of our nation and replacing him with a mythical judaic inspired one. Even if this Judaic Asher built Assyria ( which obviously did not happen ), then why call our language after his father's name ( Shem, Semitic ) and not himself "Asher-Asheric"? Why is Shem given the credit? Why not his son? Or even, why not his father Noah? I hope you understand the point. In the old testament, not only is Shem the father of Assyria, Arabia, Phoenicia, Israel... but also of Lud and Elam ( Lydia from Lud, an Anatolian nation and Elam for the Elamites of Iran ), yet Neither of these latter two peoples' languages are called " semitic". Why not, if Shem was also their Patriarch? Lydian is Indo-European and Elamite is a language isolate, like Kassite, Hattic, Hurrian & Sumerian, which btw, these last four peoples seem to have been totally neglected by the creators of Noah and his sons for some odd reason/s. So many fallacies in this "linguistic term shem", that it's beyond ignorant to continue using it after knowing these facts. Yes, Arabic, Hebrew, Caananite, Phoenician, Ugaritic, Eblite... are all somehow related to Assyrian, but we must stop calling them by the judaic Pseudonym and rather call them by their true one, the origin of all of these is Ashuric, not some false name of a mythical jewish figure. These langauges can and should all be called Ashuro-Akkadic-Assyro-Akkadic or Ashuro-Levantine, since both Ashur and Akkad were the main empires which made their languages the Lingua Franca of their time and spread it far and wide. The method used to create the Indo-European classification was: ( Indo from India & the Indus Valley + European from Europe & Indo-Iranian for including Iran as a sub-group of IE ), a perfect method that uses actual cultures and Geographical regions to describe the language family, yet when it comes to Assyrian and other languages of the fertile Crescent, we don't get the same respect, and are reduced to being named after a fictional Judaic Character unheard of by any of the peoples of the Fertile Crescent, aside from his own Judaic creators. Even a child understands this application that's based on true foundations, but for some people, they simply cannot accept the truth and would rather keep repeating ridiculous terms just because older Scholars and linguists told them to, and their egos prevent them from questioning the indoctrination, along with the fear of being ridiculed for it. It's easier to follow the leader than to point out his errs. Afro-Asiatic is also a ridiculous term, since more than 99% of the languages in Africa have next to zero Relation to Assyro-Akkadic. Egypt, the closest of African nations to Mesopotamia, doesn't even have connections to our language, minus Ethiopic and Eritrian to some extent, due to later Arab influence. The only solution for a term is Ashuro-Levantine or Ashuro-Akkadic. Most accurate description of these langauges, and of course they can be Anglicized to Assuro/Assyro-Akkadic and/or Assyro-Levantine. Just as with Indo-European, it describes a Patriarchal culture with a geographic Centrum of the term. I take the identity and history of my people very seriously and in highest regards, especially at a time when we are and have been relentlessly attacked for it. We may not have a state today, but the very least we can and should do is protect our name, identity and history and not support and promote it's misnomers, imposed upon us by outsiders.
Since assyrian people have lived in the middle east for all this time...the word mashallah has been passed down to us, yet, we dont use the way muslims do, we just use it as "wow", muslims when they say that they usually mean it in a religious way, unlike assyrians.
