I agree with everything else, except that they weren't watching TV. Mitch was reading a book and Emily was knitting and the other flashbacks show the front of their house has big windows. The police showed up at their house and since they had not seen or heard from Luke they guessed what it was about.

@@makenzieanderson8256 The decision wasn't made by just the hire-ups. The actor and actress who play the characters said that they wouldn't feel comfortable with it. How far they do or do not go will depend heavily on their comfort levels, which is how it should be.

However, if the age difference is smaller, a kiss usually happens. I don’t know if that changed of anything to accompany minors, BUT it should be noted that if Madison Reyes wanted to kiss Charlie Gillespie and vice versa, a kiss more than likely would’ve happened (if her parents were okay with that too)

When I first watched it I actually skipped We Got the Music and Perfect Harmony because at first they felt awkward and out of place, because both of them were fantasies in Julie's head. They grew on me over time.
