How can we use geoscience communication to help tackle the multiple, multi-disciplinary challenges of climate change adaptation and mitigation that geoscience must contribute to resolving? How do we do this in the face of negative public perceptions of geoscience and falling geoscience student numbers? Most of us agree we need to be better at communication. In a relatively small and fragmented geoscientific community, it is important that we work together. In this context, Julie Hollis talks about what is holding us back and what can move us forward by exploring what geoscience communicators can learn from collaborative science.
