Are we going to ignore the fact that not only was Julia Child a great chef, she was a spy for the Allied Nations during World War II? She didn't just change the way America's cook and view food, she helped change the world. She worked for the CIA before it was called the CIA (at the time it was called the OSS). She's a freakin' badass (chef).

I like Stanley Tucci and Meryl Streep playing together, they're amazing!

This film was so heart warming! definitely a comfort film for me. Meryl Streep's acting was amazing! it's incredible how much a versatile actress she is!.

This, to me, was Meryl at her best! Plus, she and Stanley Tucci were good here!

This movie made me start cooking and now it's my favorite thing to do. And i love to do it for as many people as possible. Even once did it for my enitre school (about 700 people at the time). And just hearing people say they liked it, it feels so amazing. (i made french onion soup, boeuf bourguignon and for dessert, chocolate cakes like the one from the movie). I started on monday at like 5am in the schoolkitchen (alone) because it was really big. And everything was done by tuesday around 8pm, just in time for when the school sat done to eat. I was so nervous. Me and the teachers served it, i said 'Bon Appetite' and people just loved my food. I can't describe that feeling it gave me. All thanks to Julia Child, Julie Powell, Meryl Streep & Amy Adams i discoverd what i love to do. Thank You

Meryl Streep explained that she did not portray Julia child. She said she actually portrayed Julie Powell's idea. So. it can be a bit different from Julia child.

This is one of the best movies Ive seen in a while. Meryl Streep didnt just play Julia Child, she became Julia Child. She is absolutely amazing. Amy Adams was great as Julie. And the husbands played great roles also. Stanley Tucci was excellent as Paul & I'd like to take Chris Messina home with me.

What a good film. I really enjoyed every bit of it, the story, the ambience, the songs.

Yeah, I started cooking at home everyday for my blog, channel and book. Now I understand how easily Meryl Streep gained weights while shooting. On the contrary when I was prefessionally baking, I lost weight because I worked standing in the kitchen for 10 hours a day.

I just watched this movie. Its such a simple movie but with soooo many beautiful details. I am sure a lot of men would say: THERES NOTHING HAPPENING??!!. But I LOVE IT. I love getting to know people's stories. These women are sooo different but their stories match very well. Wonderful movie. And I sooo wanna cook something now :))

Great film. It's November 2022 & Julie Powell died at age 49, so sad!!! RIP Julie you will be missed. You are missed. I love Stanley & Meryl .... & Amy Adam's. A very good cast. I want to watch it again!!!! Nora Ephron's last film was Julie & Julia before her death in 2012. I also enjoyed her other films before J & J, When Harry met Sally Hanging Up, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Mixed Nuts, My Blue Heaven & Michael ( Another actor we lost this year was William Hurt) I love William & Michael. John Travolta was great as Michael the dirty 😇 angel.

Of course Meryl Streep did it again and was delightful and funny as Julia Child. They even made her look 6'1" tall. The Julie segments in the tiny apartment kitchen were quite hilarious and made me hungry for some of those recipes. I am so sorry that Julie Powell recently passed away at only age 49. Rest in Peace.

Amy Adams looked like Pam from the Office with a Pixie cut. I swear. She kinda looked nothing like Amy Adams until the end of the trailer where they listed the cast.

This is a feel good movie to watch. Especially in times of pandemic. 😀

I watched this movie in my cooking class in high school, I loved it and my teacher even called me 'Little Julia Child' while she gave me some Julia Child cookbooks as a graduation gift.

Forever my favorite movie😌

You know it's not risking your well being to eat good food, right? I mean Julia childs lived to be 93 and she was very vibrant during her last days from what I know, so eating like her isn't that bad. Sure there things she ate that were unhealthy but it's not bad enough to kill you.

I remember when this movie came on TV and Amy‘s living room was shown I said to my mum „Wow, that looks really cozy. I’d like my apartment to look like that“ and she was like „Looks like a peasants home, absolutely no style“ because she has no sense for a cozy home only a cold and shiny mausoleum she calls „home“

I loved this movie! It was hillarious and just so fun to watch.

based on two real stories,the movie "julie&julia" has given me an unexperienced feeling toward life, everyday overlooked details, and smallest happiness.It lits the little fire in my heart of having a small but warm home lingured by aromatic smell. It is a successful classic movie about food and love in every aspects - music,scene and characters.It does not matter whether you are keen on food or not,once you see the movie,you will develop the desire to be a gastronome.And please prepare some food with you while watching it. The scene of this movie can't help revealing the unnoticable details of life.From the very first sunlight penetrating into windows which brings hope and life to the fade, dark ,lonly streetlights which make us forget about breathing.And every frame in the movie makes you feel worthy sitting in.Beside ,the music ,sometimes soft ,gentle , sometimes sad and heavy ,can well help to indulge you in. "Julie & Julia" ,with out any fast and speed ,and well bring you into itself.It makes you laugh,sad and share the happiness of two women seeking for their career.If you are undergoing anxiety,or frustration of the fast speed nowadays,why not have a little rest and serve youself a nice meal？

Hilarious, inspiring and entertaining! Meryl Streep is as good as ever, never failed to wow the audience. Amy Adams is so adorable as Julia Powell, a woman who got her inspiration from Julie Child (Meryl Streep), a woman who popularized French cuisine in America.

Julia and Paul Child were the perfect couplke with the perfect relationship. Who wouldn't want to be as happy as they were togather.

One of my favorite "food" movies!

use to watch julia child in the past when i was young but my mother and i was never so crazy about her even though we love so many old chefs from the past on tv. i miss the chefsi grew up watching when i was young,. they made cooking shows so fun and it was different than th ones today not that i don't like the new shows i do very much.

I loveeee this movie😍. But did anyone else ever noticed @ 6:48 that a woman said " my son died in the second tower"? I've watched this movie so many times and still am now that its on netflix and I never even recognized what was being said at that part. Just so spooked it was about 911. 😖😭
