Absolutely first class performance by Margery Mason, and certainly not the only one she’s done. Another one was in the BBC series “A family at war” where she also was incredible. One of the actors whose place is much difficult to replace.
A sinple yet hard hitting storyline with wonderful acting from Margery Mason. While I'm thoroughly enjoying watching these episodes, I'm also struck with how good the BBC once was and how bad it is now.
@@BruceDanton-xw6eg Can’t be BBC. It’s us, we’ve met the enemy, they are us. In the U.S., after everything we’ve tried to achieve, it’s as though only the worst of the far right and far left remain. In fact this seems due to computer algorithms, feeding us material to make money for the media. If we don’t regulate this, we’ll lose everything.
Yes, all Police Dramas are nowadays are Senior Ranking Detectives with troubled pasts going from one grisly over the top murder, rape or even rapemurder after another. This focused on the day to day troubles of policing a rural community
@@fodapvone8767 Ah, "A Touch of Frost"...a classic! The scruffy DI who cares nothing for red tape and Force Politics, just seeing that the world's alright! If you want to almost be Frost, you can actually buy a replica of his Warrant Card off eBay
I can remember seeing the film crew shooting the scene where the man chased the woman outside the store. It involved a department store in Widnes. Mum and I had walked down to the town centre of Widnes from Grandma's house when we spotted the film crew. A technician with the film crew said the scene was going to be included in an episode of Juliet Bravo. I haven't spotted myself or Mum in the clip but I am so glad to have found the episode and the scene.
Now this is a truly cracking episode, The last scene alone is top notch acting Margery Mason is showing acting at its best. Well supported by the rest of the cast.
I am really only going to repeat what many have already said. Nevertheless, I have decided to leave the comment, just in case the family and relatives of the late Marjery Mason, should view and read these comments. I hope that they would appreciate yet another comment that pays tribute to her superb acting, that really makes this episode so poignant and powerful.
After watching several JB episodes; I would have to say this one stands out without any doubt, in terms of both storyline and superbly consummate acting, in particular by the late Ms. Mason....
Wow! This was a really unexpected storyline, I understand retirement can be a challenging time but add to it a stringent mindset and it just really got to me.
Maybe so but her character was a lonely, miserable, busy body type whose sole mission was to spread negativity. Sadly, I've known real people like her. It is not a happy way to exist.
great and sad episode , makes me feel sad when she gets depressed and loses her mind . I agree with her as she just wanted things correct .. Could you please upload "cause for complaint " too :)
If you like Juliet Bravo you'll probably love this podcast featuring the two lead actresses: www.distinctnostalgia.com/posts/1kspa70awf4rl3qs075j4sqio9dkjm
'Aunt Sally' is an old English game where sticks are thrown at the model of an old woman's head to break the clay pipe in her mouth; so, by extension, it has come to mean a target of criticism or insult.
I correctly identified the woman as the bullying teacher's nagging wife in the video Pink Floyd, The Wall (1982). She's "Margery Mason" as someone here says but I only knew her as Pink Floyd, The Wall nagging wife. Perhaps a sign of my misspent youth.
