I did a test drive two days ago, and I am in love with the car, I'll have to wait about two year before I go for it, so I'm hoping their prices don't change too much. It completely knocked all of the other options I had off of my list.
It's a very good thing that Chinese cars are now coming to the party in terms of quality. How does the interior space of the Tiggo compare to Haval H2? (I've owned an H2 for a year now, still happy.)
I'm absolutely overwhelmed by this car. Looking forward to buying and driving it. When Juliet gets excited about something, it's definitely worth considering. Thanks for an Awesome video. 😊
Juliet: love watching you. did I at some point, somewhere, pick up that you didn’t like the Nissan Magnite? If you had to choose between that and the Venue which would it be?
I've had the manual turbo version for about 2 weeks, mostly urban driving, but im sitting on 12.4 per 100!!!!!! What the heck!!!!! I don't know if maybe I'm doing something wrong? I'm not driving with a heavy foot.
Go onto the chery onto the SA owners page for the chery tiggo 4, theres 2 forums, some owners have said they are getting better fuel consumption after running in the engine, one owner said they were getting 6,6l per 100kms
I have one, around 5,000kms now (3,000 is the break-in period apparently).. mine is the normally aspirated comfort model with a cvt (auto) gearbox.. we do really short trips in the suburbs so a LOT of stops and starts, so it's around middle 8 / 8.5 like her experience. had a merc b class before this and was doing over10l/100kms consistently, so I'm still in a better place. on the freeways it drops down to around 6l/100kms, which is great considering I only ever got similar freeway consumption figures in a 900cc 3cylinder renault captur with a turbo charger
Agreed with most of the comments ..... mileage does concerns for the Owner. I am driving Sportage 3rd gen 2L MPI Engine .... 8-9 L/100 km for daily commuting. My wife is driving HRV and consumption is almost the same for smaller engine. If Chery can do better or significantly reduce the mileage ..... I will place the order.
I have the 2022 Tiggo 4 pro Elite CVT for about 1 year 5 months now. I am sitting on 26000km on the clock, took it to Mpumalanga last week and managed to gain an average of 6.5L/100. Back to city driving and fuel consumption is back at around 7L/100. The only issue I had was the tail light fusing less than 6 months after my purchase. Other than that I am quite happy overall with it.
Great review. But why can't the Chinese manufacturers make diesel cars, that would help with the fuel consumption or better still, they should offer hybrid.
Hybrid would cost too much money for research and development, meaning the car would cost more. As for Diesel, the world is moving away from it. Audi, BMW Mercedes and VW will no longer manufacture new diesel motors
@@jordanwilliams4958 okay, i see. They should then try and make them more fuel efficient cause right now, that's the only weakness they have. Great cars though.
These cars are interesting but the issue is that they not manufactured here (SA) and have no plants here. It would therefore be expensive to fix these cars. I therefore would prefer Mahindra XUV300 since they at least have a plant here. What do u guys think?
Morning just chatted to a guy at pick n pay benoni he has this car top of the range he said its great bought it some where near the airport I think benoni area ...you said top of the range R360 .000 HE PAID R379.000 ..I think it could be worth a look thanks
Juliet, the fuel consumption might be high because its a new car, others who have bought the car and driven it for a while are reporting getting 6-7 litres per km. Please keep this in mind that the engine Has to be run in when its new
100% agree. But bear in mind that all cars I test are new and have very low mileage, so this is then in comparison to any new car...which means I consider it too high. I also happened to drive it last year and was getting 10l/100km. This is now a few thousand kms in. Still too high.
These Chinese vehicles do seem to have a high fuel consumption compared to other brands...big concern for me. Haval, GWM and JAC that I know of and having spoken to peeps and company's who use them
The problem is trying to get the power to weight ratio balance right, I think what the chinese are trying to do is produce cars that have enough power so that the engine doesnt have to strain so hard to move the weight. Indian engineered cars are the opposite, so like with the new triber, kiger, magnite, they have puny engines to give the impression that they are fuel efficient, but the engines have to work harder. It was proven with the fiat 500 2 cylinder that it used twice the fuel. Fiat claimed it only used 4l per 100kms, but because of the weight and the fact people use it in city driving, it ended up using 8l! So its not just chinese cars. I doubt the Nissan magnite with its puny engine is gonna save much fuel when it has to move a larger weight
Ive been onto the SA owners page for the chery tiggo 4 on FB, some owners did say the fuel consumption does improve, one owner had a photo showing 6,6l per 100 kms
I posted on 1 of the other comments: I have the manual turbo version. Loving the car but getting 12.4 per 100!!!!! What the heck? Am I doing something wrong? It's not that I'm driving with a heavy foot, but it has been mainly urban. Only 500kms on the car. If I could get 8 I would be happy as Larry.
I bought 2023 tiggo pro4 in Mexico I’ve had it 2 weeks and it’s a piece of shit the seats aren’t real leather in short if you don’t expect much this suv is for you
No chinese car for me! Danger if drive little high speed. And after few months be sure lot of aquipment stop to work. I had a Geely, bad danger car! Buy Korean, Japanese before chinese! Or a europeen car of course.

Kudos @Juliet awesome reviews! What issues are you facing?
U had been one of my favorite reviewer..but off recent it looks ur reviews are manufacturer sponsored ..how can u say a chinese gimmicks and some zillion chips thrown in and u are flown away by features... Cherry?? Seriusoly putting on top with kia or renault brand?? ... .hope I may proof wrong if these cherries n Co. Stay intact after 8 years of usage and dependable...
Yep. Been driving my Haval H1/GWM M4 since 2016 - 8 years now. No problems. Now on 110 000km. Major service at 100 000km. Front shocks, water pump, oil change. That's it.
