Pieces like this really reminds of my heritage. As a young classical composer/musician my mind is reall flooded with pieces by western classical composers like Mozart and Beethoven. Mabuhay Pilipinas!!

Thank you for uploading this piece. It's been 1 year since I first time saw this video. I listened this hundreds of times. Then, after many years of hesitation, I finally decided to buy a piano and start practicing. It has been one of the best decisions in my life. Since my basic piano skills are pretty good now, I think it's time to finally start practicing this piece!
Pretty interpretation! This music remember me Chiquinha Gonzaga and Eresto Nazareth - I am Brazilian and these composers lived at the same time as the one who created this beautiful music! The style, the harmony and the melody are very similar!

Thanks a lot! I guess melancholic in a sense that you can picture a fireplace at night, or a night scene with lamps in the old days. It's a Filipino classical piece. Sadly, even in my country the composer is not as popular. Even I only heard of this a few months ago

I really like this! It's sad how many good composers go into obscurity. I would also like to ask if you could do either gottschalk's souvenir de Porto Rico, his terantella, or his union. He has another great composition called Grande fantaisie triomphale sur l'hymne national brésilien, Op.69 Grande fantaisie triomphale op.69 which is an incredible themes and variation on the Brazilian anthem.
