I love the points you brought out regarding Joseph. His care and protection of both Mary and Jesus are also shown as he acts in obedience to the word from the angel in a dream and confirmation he is given, especially when HIS OWN reputation is brought into question as well. The dream came to him, no one else heard what he was told…. that what was conceived in Mary was through the Holy Spirit. When people began to count on their fingers they would be gossiping about Mary AND Joseph and that THEY did not wait for the ceremony. Mary was a special young woman for God to choose to be the mother of our savior, but Joseph was also a special Godly man and was obedient numerous times. So many layers to root through. i have a question. how does Joseph putting her awy by divorcing her keep her from being stoned? it seems like if he divorced her then she would surly be stoned becasue she was with child?
I will remain abstinent until married. I have been married, I am divorced now. I have been single and with out a partner for 2 years. I can not imagine being sexually involved until I am a wife.
