Daisuke! Good to hear from you! Hope you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy yourself while you're back in Tokyo. Thank YOU so much for the Patreon page. For me, it is another essential place to receive cinematic nourishment and you have done so much to provide plenty of that! There's quite a bit I could talk about but I want to mention that I thought about you when I heard the shocking news of Shelley Duvall's passing because of our somewhat recent discussion of her. I felt strongly compelled to watch *The Shining* again. Wow. Perhaps this will compel me to finally purchase the Criterion release of *3 Women* especially since we are still in a Criterion sale season. Speaking of which, thank you again for raising so much excitement for cinema during these amazing periods of time where a lot of movie collecting/viewing might be going on. So far I have purchased *Lone Star* , *Days of Heaven* , *All That Money Can Buy* , *I Am Cuba* , *The Roaring Twenties* , *Werkmeister Harmonies* , *Symbiopsychotaxiplasm* , *Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas* , *Chantal Akerman Masterpieces 1968-1978* , and *All the Beauty and the Bloodshed* . I'm still reeling in ways from my viewing of those first two Chantal Akerman works and my viewing of *All the Beauty and the Bloodshed* as well as *All That Money Can Buy* which I promise to leave a comment on your video discussion when I have the time/strength/conviction that my words can come close to how much I enjoyed the film. That same thing can be said for *Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas* and *Blue Velvet* or any other video discussion you do where I want to leave a comment but sometimes I have to wait for a moment the words can better come from within me. I do want to mention how much I was blown away from the Fear and Loathing re-release after years of only seeing it on DVD. The visual details were astounding to see in high quality and no doubt I will feel the same when I see it again on 4K hopefully soon! So much more to say! This has been another intense year that I can't believe we are already halfway through... Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make it another epic year of cinematic experiences, Daisuke. Did you see the new trailer for *Gladiator II* or *Alien:Romulus* ?? Both of those look pretty cool to me! I almost convinced myself to go see the new film *Longlegs* but now I feel kind of lied to by the marketing and just want to purchase *Silence of the Lambs* through Criterion and stay home to watch it instead. Haven't seen it in years and a recent *Clerks* series viewing very much put that film back on my mind. Gosh, I could go on and on but thank you for this opportunity to ruminate a bit about cinema and your epic offerings to the cinema loving community. Have an amazing time back in Tokyo. Looking forward to hearing that you have made it safely back to L.A. Speaking of L A., I re-watched the film *Harsh Times* with Christian Bale for the first time in many years this week and it was such an intense experience for me. Wish I could blab about all the cinema related things I've had on my mind but these are just a few things that are coming to mind as I type this comment. You're the man, Daisuke! Take care! Hearing you mention Nacho Man randomly put Joan Cusack as "Debbie" in my mind singing Macho Man behind poor ole Uncle Fester's back... Lol! Cheers!
I recently watched Shaft and Shaft's Big Score, Double Indemnity, Ronin by John Frankenheimer and a cheesy horror movie on Shudder called Slaxx which is about haunted jeans.
ForTheNachos here, totally forgot I signed up under my reddit name lol. I love that episode of The Simpsons! I hope you have a great weekend, kind sir!
