This is a good list of predictions. Thank you! I’ve added several to read. The God of the Woods I’m hoping will get a spot. It takes place in the 70s and I love that. I’ve found I like more recent “historical fiction” timelines.
Don’t click on Kaitlin’s latest; don’t click on Kaitlin’s latest; don’t click on Kaitlin’s latest, you REALLY don’t need to add more new releases. Aw darn it. (Road to the Salt Sea has immediately jumped to the top of my TBR.)
😅 This comment scared me at first. I was like “oh no. What did I do?!” Then I saw the second half. I have this problem too as I make my way around booktube. I have a multi-page document saved in my Google docs full of recommendations and where I saw them. 😅 The TBRs are never-ending!
I am really hoping they offer The Road to the Salt Sea, The Lost Story, My Mother Cursed my Name, and The Lucky Ones! I plan on reading those 4 either way, so it would be great if I could get them from BotM. Great video!!!
Yes! The Road To The Salt Sea is at the top of my new releases list. I really look forward to it. My Mother Cursed My Name and The Lucky Ones both sound excellent as well. I’m not a big Meg Shaffer fan as I don’t typically love cozy writing, but the premise for The Lost Story sounds good.
I did along with House of Glass, and The Lost Story! Hoping to start God of the Woods this weekend, as I just finished The Wedding People. Such a great read.
I have an ARC of Off the Books that I haven't gotten to yet but I'm excited about the premise and hopeful. I love reading debut authors, especially lit fic. I am personally hoping for The Lost Story because I need some lighthearted reads mixed in among all the dense stuff. Another July release that I'm looking forward to is I Was A Teenage Slasher by Stephen Graham Jones but IDK if that is BOTM's speed. I want to read from more indigenous authors so I have that one on my radar.
I have an Arc of Off The Books too. It looks like a good read. I am also looking forward to Stephen Graham Jones’ book, but I’m predicting that one for Aardvark. I think it’s more their style.
I would be excited to see The Briar Club because Quinn is an auto buy author for me. The God of the Woods, The Townsend Family... and Off The Books sound great.
I'm really interested in Meg Shaffer's new one. I loved her debut. Great list! Though I am on a book buying ban until August, I might have to break it for BOTM. This month is hopefully going to be really good. Last month, none of the picks jumped out at me so I skipped.
Yes!….please BOTM, more debuts and less repeat authors. So tired of the repeats. So many less options offered if you aren’t a fan of the same authors they continue to offer.
I agree. I wish they would make a rule that if they’ve repeated an author three times they are no longer allowed to be featured. That would keep things fresh. I guess I’m glad at least that I don’t really read romance or thrillers, so I avoid a lot of the heavily repeated authors.
@@BandysBooks yes, I agree to that as well. Repeat or 3peat…then promote and feature someone new. I love finding new authors through them. Those are my fav BOTM.
