Funny River access is a great spot, can be a little tough to fish though with limited space! If you can get the good spots, and you know what your doing
@@Alaskahuntr yes- this was our first time to try this spot. We did really good there as did others who were there. Once I found my footing I was good.
On a family trip in July of this year, 2024, six of us caught 36 Sockeye salmon, our legal limits, producing 98 pounds of fillets, in 2 hours of very fun flossing fishing. What a ln experience for us all!
Good Deal.! I went after work Friday night and limited out by midnight, got up Saturday morning and did it again. THAT plus a little over 500 Hooligan out of the Twenty Mile, plus my surplus of Reds from last year, and my freezers are FULL.!🔥
@@MIDNIGHTSUNALASKA I think that's a lot of people this year. Most years you can count on getting filled on all new fish and give away last year's leftovers. This year, most people didn't get as much as normal and they're glad to have leftovers to make up the difference. I know one guy who went down to the bottom of his freezer and pulled out a few pieces of different fish from '21 and 22
I know there are much better “real spots” everyone has their “spots” they like the best. But some of us have to go between work shifts and go when and where it’s convenient. At the end of the day - we were happy with what we got and salmon taste just as good 😊
