Hooooooooraaaaay! 🎉🎉I read Vicar earlier this year and fell in love with Doctor Primrose! The ending kept it from being tippytop perfection but the amount of laughter and endearment in the afterglow makes me sigh every time I think about it!!💞
I understand your struggle with audiobooks. I have a hard time keeping my focus on them while they're playing. My mind just wants to wander off to something else 😆
I think, with the ages of your kids, Jack & Jill or Under the Lilacs might be better read-alouds. An Old Fashioned Girl feels more upper middle grade. But it’s a fantastic book!💕 I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!!
I love that you are listening to Mansfield right after listening to Agnes!! I said, when I reviewed it, that Agnes felt like a less complex version of Mansfield! I’m anxious to hear if you find that too.
Looks like a super fun stack. Thanks for sharing! That "What Jane Austen Ate" book looks so interesting. I have "Northanger Abbey" on my "High Five Book Stack" for the Reading Collective Club so I guess I know what we be reading next for July!
Ha. Now I wonder if Quiet was the book they actually recommended. My library only had this one, but I did notice that they both mentioned "Quiet" and I thought they just shortened it.
All Creatures is so good. He was born in Scotland and got a job in England and moved there. I believe his real name is Alfred. Not for sure though. One day I would like to read the book his son wrote. I am going to start his fourth book in the Autumn.
@@pylesofbooks I enjoyed it, but I think the audiobook helped me get into it. It was a little challenging keeping track of the characters otherwise for me.
