KINGDAKA is back open I was at the park today with my cousin as a manager, it was great, Collin hope u had fun 4th of July and to let you all know KA is back!!!!😊
I was there on the 4th of July too!! Went on Medusa, El toro, and Nitro they were my first 3 roller coasters ever!!! I love how smooth the nitro runs 😊
@@JD.778 NOt quite half - seems like it though - Half a dozen ride preemptions still - No Kingda Ka, Green Lantern, Zumanjaro, Wonder Woman, Cyber Borg, Giant Wheel, or Log Flume. MIne Train was struggling to open Sunday and El Toro had some struggles. So far too many preemptions....Also they should have their best rides open. Just like if you ara an ABC station YOU RUN ALL ABC SHOWS - at least YOU SHOULD. Same here - If you have the facilities they SHOULD BE OPEN AND USED. Closings only due to weather or emergencies.
@@JD.778 Prepare for this in January by making sure everything is up and running by the end of March. Most parks have one or two closures at any given time while 6 Flags Parks average about 5 per park per period
The last hill on Mine Train is definitely more intense in the front. Also, with the exception of the first drop, I think most of the airtime moments on El Toro are just as, if not more intense in the front row as in the back. The Rolling Thunder hill is very aggressive in the front
[Comment No Longer Accurate] Those who are wondering why Kingda ka is closed, it’s apparently because its catch car broke. So don’t expect it to open soon.
We lucked out. We left right as the fireworks ended. Before heading out we parked by kingda ka to watch the end of the fireworks show and had a spectacular view. Did not hit any traffic and was able to go to Wawa before the crowds arrived. Only downfall most of the rides were temporarily closed including Kingda Ka, Jersey Devil, Wonder Woman, Dark Night, Zoomanjaro, and Green Lantern. Otherwise a great day!!!
I predict it closes the day Kingda Ka and Log Flume reopens. THEY TAKE TURNS closing - Oh El Toro will probably close when Kingda Ka opens as well. They love rotating closings of their best rides. ALWAYS...
Damn I was hoping you would've caught my partner and I's boat getting stuck out in the reservoir on Roaring Rapids lol. They had to hit the emergency stop because our boat was filling up with water at the very end up to our knees
With Cedar people at the helm YOU MAY BE RIGHT - I may be crazy - but it just might be a lunatic you're looking for. Turn Off the Light ---- Yes I think with Cedar at the helm things will get better I HOPE
Hi Colin, I was there on the 4th and 5th , fireworks where amazing. But I noticed on my pass and went to membership services , we are not getting points for purchases and the extra 1,000 points for each month you pay the pass. I'm at 15 visits this year.
@beckyharris1870 no they know it's a glitch. Email guest relations and they will work with you or goto member services by joker and they will add your points. Mine was more complicated, lol so it's taking a little longer to figure my points out. You get 5 points for every dollar you spend.
Well count on Kingda Ka, Green lantern, Wonder Woman, Cyber Borg, Zumanjaro, Houdini, Big Wheel, and Log Flume to be closed - maybe even El Toro - I promise they will not "let you down"
W vid🍷🗿 I was also there I was there for the whole day first I went to hurricane Harbor and I want to great adventure then I saw fireworks It was a pretty good day.
I’d like to talk about Flash and six flags current strategy with how they do things. People keep saying “last minute addition” is why flash is not done yet. I don’t buy that because we have seen multiple coasters from six flags open during the middle of the summer in July and those coasters were planned years in advance. Even Georgia surfer I don’t believe was called “last minute” and it’s not close to opening still. With their track record I very much believe this is part of their strategy hoping people come back later in the season to ride the new additions. Flash is an off the self model that’s already been done before which was announced in august. I don’t see how they couldn’t start this earlier. I think what they meant by last minute was that they decided later then usual or that they just did it before the earning call. For argument sake let’s just say they couldn’t do this earlier. It’s still not a good look by corporate and we shouldn’t say “ well we weren’t getting a coaster so this is a positive”. I think we should be saying is that they’ve should’ve had this planned out so they can open this earlier. They still wouldn’t though because of their current strategy. What do you think though Colin?
Six Flags just doesn't start the process for new rides early enough. This has been going on for a long time. All of their projects are last minute additions, so they always run into massive boondoggles and delays.
@@Doctorsup-lk5ky I just think it's poor planning. Maybe if all the stars align and there aren't any snags or setbacks, you can order a ride in August and have it ready by the following Memorial Day. But it's not a perfect world, and every project runs into delays of some type. It's just a matter of whether you can recover from them or not. Part of this is the revolving door of leadership that Six Flags has had over the years. Each time a new administration takes over, they want to move in a different direction, and they want the next year's investments to show that strategy. However, this results in them likely trying to do this in half the time that other chains are. Cedar Fair seems to start their major projects about a year before pre-merger Six Flags does. They're already doing track work on Kings Dominion's new for 2025 coaster, while at this point last year, Great Adventure hadn't even started surveying for Flash.
Flash is an off the shelf model that can be built in 3 months. They started doing their markings in august which is enough time for an early opening. Six flags has been doing this for years before they even changed leadership. Happened with Maxx Force and west coast racers under Jim Reed Anderson. The direction only changed when the current ceo came in. This is just what they do. I’m just glad cedar fair is taking over.
With my all parks flash pass, I was wondering how that would work at this park on their required-lockers rides, since we have to use our phone for it. Do they have free lockers for flash pass users at all those rides? I'm going next month, hoping that Flash will be open by then.
NO they do not.Devil only allows small stuff in their tin lockers for flash pass users ONLY. I am told El Toro lockers are only for those with Flash Passes as well
If kinda ka is going to open what about zumjoro like can we at least open that because this is not fair if kinda ka is not working that a a kinda ka problem not a zumjoro it was just open like 2 weeks ago why is it closed again. Six flags needs to get it together
The light package will be on the Giant Wheel for this year's FrightFest event. They wanted to have the ride operating first so everyone can enjoy it this summer.
@@ColiwoodStudios Yes it will provided they close something else in its place. This park takes turns closing the best rides in the park. Well Kingda did reopen a couple days back. But midday July 9 Jersey Devil closed so it seems they take turns. Anyhow relieved to see Jersey Devil open as well as Green Lantern, El Toro, Medusa, Mine Train..in fact at this moment all 14 coasters are open. BUT still quite a few non coaster rides are still down. Zumanjaro is down...as is Wonder Woman, Cyber Borg (will likely be back when Flash signs on), still the Ferris Wheel is down and the Log Flume is still down and not ready to sign on yet. Plus Houdinis House is down. I ride flat rides a bit...maybe two per visit but still these keep lines down and enable everyone to ride more. Still the coasters are top priority. This park needs a splashwater falls ride back again as well. Anyhow the place is getting a bit better. And not all that crowded in this hot weather. Still Hope they do not keep taking turns closing stuff
