It was his first time driving the boat. It was worse out than it looked, but not as bad as other times I have been out. I always check the marine forecast ahead of time, but if the winds kick up unexpectedly those forecasts go out the window. I try not to head out if the duration is not 2x the wave height, this forecast changed after I had checked.
That Cat with those seas he doesnt need to be nervous. An old seahunt 196 ultra or triton 17 would handle fine there. Trust your hull and power up a dash.
That was his 1st time driving the boat so I wanted him to take it easy and get the feel of it. The inlet was really rough, roughest I have ever come out of, he handled it great. True 5-6 footers with no breaks in between coming out, only time I have ever been soaked in my GB.
